Hopefully Blizzard won't give the next SC2 contract to you but to KeSPA. LLLLOOLLLL What has the world come to?!?! People wanting KeSPA??? What's next, all progamers move to Romania for extensive SC2 training??? (no offense to the Romanians, though I doubt they'll understand nonetheless) Anyway, though I don't agree with GOM's actions, this section definitely rings true: Both Korean as well as international fans are important to us. We hope that no one gets the wrong picture and believes that NaNiWa is being treated disadvantageously because he is a foreigner. On the contrary, if a Korean had been involved in a similar incident, it is possible that a much harsher reaction would have followed. It is also very likely that the player's team would have taken firm action before the GSL could have even reacted to it. If a Korean did this, I think the team would have probably kicked him/her off before GOM could even act. Those Korean teams don't take this kind of action nicely.

In the OP, it says he a-moved 6 drones then let go of his keyboard. How can it get more disrespectful than this? Idra might leave games without saying gg, or complain about balance, but at least he has the common sense and the decency to TRY. Nestea probably practiced a ton in preparation for this tournament, and for Naniwa to do this, it's discrediting his efforts and refusing to respect him as a player. Cultural difference is an unacceptable reason for acting disrespectfully. Even then, I'm sure the European coaches do not tell their professional football players to go sleep on the field just because they're not going to win the tournament.

I have a question about the game NaNiWa played against Nestea. Did he micro his probes or simply stop them by Nestea? The reason that I ask this, is that if he tried to win with his probe rush, I fail to see the distinction between this and a discouraged player cheesing his way out of a tournament.

Excerpts of the korean civil law 제2조 (신의성실) 권리의 행사와 의무의 이행은 신의에 좇아 성실히 하여야 한다. 권리는 남용하지 못한다. Paragraph 2 Good Faith The execution of rights and the fulfillment of obligations shall be performed with accordance to good faith. The abusement of rights are prohibited. Paragraph 390 Failure to fulfill obligations If the debtor does not perform according to his obligations the creditor shall be entitled to claim damages. However if the fulfillment has become impossible due to circumstances without intent or negligence of the debtor this provision shall not apply. 제546조 (이행불능과 해제) 채무자의 책임있는 사유로 이행이 불능하게 된 때에는 채권자는 계약을 해제할 수 있다. Paragraph 546 Inability of Performance and Termination If the debtor is inable to perform his obligations the creditor shall be entitled to terminate the contract. According to the korean judicature cases of faulty performance are handled the same as inability of performance if the cure of this breach is impossible. So no its not unwritten rules they handled the situation with accordance to the applicable rules of the korean civil code On December 15 2011 07:02 Insane wrote: I don't see how GOM can justify changing their rules without having announced anything and reintepreting what has been publicly known in order to do what they want. Why even bother have rules if you're just going to change them without notice in order to achieve whatever you want? the rules they applied are the rules of the korean civil code. they did not create anything since there was no need to

If you're gonna punish him make the rules first.

How about admitting to having a faulty tournament format and accepting at least SOME blame in this mess? Using double standards when enforcing "rules" and making up punishments really hurts the credibility of the GSL.

The whole giving seed to Sen/Idra based on performance when we know its because of their fan base ( stop lying and be honest for once) 3. Lying about the whole Naniwa Providence Seed part ( if you never gave him a code S spot then how the heck can you punish him by taking it away). Sorry but there is no way i will ever support GOM in the future. I for one will vote with my wallet and not buy anymore tickets and I will tell all my friends to avoid it as well Dude you are so not keeping up with things 1. pooface or w.e his name is admitted that there was an error with the translation and Mr. Chae NEVER offended naniwa live 2. Idra is getting spot for MLG Orlando and IEM guanzhou, while sen is getting the spot for blizzcon 2011. The reason why huk or haypro don't get a seed due to them placing higher than idra in providence is because gomtv said they would only give a code s spot if somebody that doesn't have code s places in TOP 4 3. This is the only thing that I'm curious about and I want to hear sundance's statement on this. Did he know that this was changed? why wasn't this communicated to everybody? is this even true?

The statement reads: He didn't break any rules, but he hurt my feelings. I personally have more power than the rules, and I am willing to bend the rules so I can punish whoever I want.

There is a guy that played 100+ with worker rushing. He said micro is not worth it. This is silly. Gom TV should stop with the subjective BS. At most seed people into code A.

Probably because they're still working on a concrete system that works based on ranking of international scene, the problem is weighting of tournaments, do you give more points to IEM or MLG? What about Weekly Tournaments like Go4SC? What about dailies like Playhem? Or new tournaments that sprout up? I'm positive they have staff trying to work out a system to properly analyze and fairly decide how to properly seed things, but for this first season, they already had in mind who were the candidates they would invite, and without a system already in place, the recent actions of Naniwa forced their hand at removing him from the list of players they would invite (at least for now). I mean, even the fact that Naniwa was going to be code S in 2012 Season 1, has NEVER been stated by Gom, it was speculation from fans, and maybe even a misunderstanding with MLG, but GOM has never outright come out and said, "these are the 2 players we're inviting to code S for our new format" despite them announcing the new format several weeks/months ago. THEY ONLY announced it NOW with Sen and IdrA. I dunno, I want a fair system at play too, but I don't hate on Gom for what they've done today, I think they are handling this correctly as is Nani/QxG. All this talk of tyranny, and other bullshit is just getting retarded. Welcome to the professional world where your actions are held accountable, this isn't some teenage bullshit, or that job flipping burgers where you have no accountability. People need to grow up and learn that.

But when they released the chart for the new format, it doesn't explain how the code S seeds will be assigned, which probably meant that it will be given however they wish. only the up/down seeds were explicitly written for international players. Also possibility of code A seeds.
