I am really looking forward for watching Idra again in the GSL. I hope he can improve a lot, when he is training in Korea again and show some entertaining matches.
Everyone is so god damn angry. Chill and let this sink in before raging on here. Some of these comments i've read sound like a small kid yelling in mw3.

nothing good comes out of 15+k mentally challenged fans when idra wins a match or two.
I hope they both get destroyed so we'll see less stupid undeserving invites into code S.
so u dont ever want to see foreigners competing in the GSL i guess i cant remember the last foreigner to actually make it into the GSL w/o being given a seed. idra/jinro?
"Too much BM from Naniwa, let's bring in Idra." Nah, to be fair, I think it's sad that Naniwa lost his spot. His games are mostly much more entertaining to watch than to see Idra gg whenever he feels like it.

X happened many months ago
Better dwell on it for the next year, because people never change.

actually, that's not what happened at all. idra's spot in code S was confirmed before blizzcup even started. sorry to rain on your parade.

IdrA's GSL record was pretty strong. Definitely stronger than other people you may prefer
Idras GSL record is from 6 months ago, back when the competition was way easier than now. Jinro also did well back then, where is he now? Being a decent foreign player with a fanbase trumps being able to qualify AND stay in code A.
The only thing I don't like is that it doesn't matter how far idra goes in code s because he's only going to be their for 1 season, then go back to the states once mlgs, etc start up again. Therefore, he's just going to vacate his gsl spot again after 1 season.
This is what GOM said about inviting Sen and Idra in their statement about Naniwa
Other players under consideration were IdrA (MLG Orlando 4th, IEM Guangzhou) and Sen (Blizzcon Battle.net Invitational 3rd) among others.
Consider this. What if the bottom half of those tournaments were filled by code A and highly ranked code B koreans. Do anyone honestly believe that Sen and Idra would have placed the same? But now based on those results they bypass code A even though it's quite possible that they wouldn't get through it if they had to.
It's like a handout to non-koreans only because GOM wants to call themselves the Global Starcraft 2 League.

No... shit?
The are a business, foriengers bring viewers.
It may not be "fair", but neither was Naniwa not getting his Code S spot, so oh well.
