Even tho its was the shortest game, I bet that game will get the most views on gomTV. So to say he doesnt deserve to be called a progamer is just ridiculous he is doing gomTV a favor :p

He was once homeless without anywhere to stay except his friend's house, as said in a WC3 interview I believe a few years ago. After winning what he has and being given a place to stay, family (his team mates) to cherish and a new life to live, he's still an asshole and always dodges the reality of the situation with "oh it didn't matter", TIME and TIME AGAIN.

I've got very little respect for this kid both as a person and player. If he turned himself around and displayed change and the effort of doing so, my take would be different. I've seen zero change, and in some cases even a worse and more extreme attitude than before.

My 2 cents.

Very curious... Why there is an asian dating ad right next to this interview?
Also. I think people blowing this out of proportion is just stupid.

I would have probe rushed, or six pooled, or planetary rushed (maybe not this one) if I wanted to just leave.
No big deal.
Currently looking for the SC2 scene in New Zealand.

This is what people should be talking about.
Arguing with a fool proves there are two.

If you want eSports to be taken seriously, and "professionally" you can't have players purposely throwing matches no matter of their importance. You don't see any sports team throw the last game of the season even if they know they won't make the playoffs. Sure, they will not put forth a 100% effort - but they still play the game to win.

People love to win, and it appears that Naniwa only cares about winning money - no love for the game, just the cash.

You do see teams play all their prospects in order to evaluate them in the one you described. That's only one scenario and I question effort. I've seen many players get into arguments with their coach, hence one of them had to go. -.-;;

Players are in it to win? Yes and no.

In Naniwa's case he only wants to win. He was already out of the tournament hence it didn't matter to him.

It's his choice as a player. No rule specifically states he cant just worker rush.

i don´t get the whole drama about that move...
yes there are people that paid for the ticket but i honestly don´t think they got dissapointet by the other games naniwa played today. To be honest the games where very entertaining and showed again how good nani is eventhough he lost them.
I personally can´t really get excited for a game where NOTHING is at stake for the players anymore.

Keep fighting nani youre games where awsome, including the last one^^

I don't mean to throw gas into the fire but could someone translate this? Google translate is unreliable and I would really like to know what the BossToss himself thinks of the situation.

I hope he learns from this and he said it himself: A simple 4-gate would have saved him all the shitstorm.

edit: a proxy 2-gate would have been even faster and still be acceptable.

At MLG people play rock paper scissors over placement matches. At Assembly Stephano and Brat_OK competed in losing a best of 3. Stephano threw a series against Cloud at Dreamhack. Idra forfeited an entire group's worth of games at IPL. All of these games had were more important than this match.

But Naniwa is the scum of the earth because it happened in Korea.

Nope, people are reacting because he worker rushed. Simple as that. Some are just overreacting too much though.

So did Stephano vs Brat_OK

better luck next time, any fan you lost was not a real fan to begin with, you go through highs and lows with who you root for, not turn around and villainize him.

Good interview, glad he made the 4gate point. People have drawn a line between sloppy all-in play and a sloppy all-in play that is more all-in that should never have been drawn
By.Sun or By.Rain, he always delivers

To be all honest, what he says is kind of true but at the same time, hes a proffessional gamer. I really don't think that he should've just probe rushed, its the same thing as just forfeiting. He should've played in my opinion. However, he didn't. Now all the koreans are angry, but the swedish people are still loving you, and aswell all other people in the teamliquid community !

This is what people should be talking about.

Because fans would still want to watch the game....? Meaningless game or not for the tournament, it had a storyline to it. People would have been upset for sure if they didn't have them play the match for pride's sake.

Also, "people are upset just because it's me that did it". Yes, no shit. Repeat offenders don't get off with the same punishment as first time offenders. This is like the 20th time in his career that something like this is happened.
