Yup, especially when you can fill it in with x, y, z as the player.
My message to those people is to stop being so hypocritical. You find certain fans annoying? Great, it goes right across the map. That isn't a valid excuse for not enjoying a player's play. You have beef with their fan boys. I can say the same shit about almost any player and its totally irrelevant.
It's called a symptom of the problem; not the problem itself.
Produce valid arguments as to why you don't like a certain player, i.e. character, their style of play, etc. instead of coming off as whiny hypocrites all the time.

I don't think he is the best in the world, 2nd for me, ForGG is Scary good.

I really hate the term Bonjwa.
On a positive note, today I learned that machine plays zerg.

What the heck is this?
The token Stephano bandwagoner who's also ripping on other players (like IdrA) because he's so biased?
Can this just get moved to blogs because it's so ridiculous? Or closed, because it's just stupid?
Stephano's a great player, but you're a little bit crazy.
This is overhype.

Ofc he didnt put CatZ there, he is a level above them. He gets 5k viewers thats way better than any tournament won by those guys, lets not forget CatZ lost in round one TL map contest today to a plat player, what other player can do that ?

I think we can wait until the end of the Blizzard Cup as it does have a Best Player Award that will be awarded to the winner, lets all wait for GOMTV to hand out the award to the best player!

yes stephano is a great player but what is the point of this topic, cmon

when a player is dominating tournaments and claims that he's practicing 3 hours a day, he is lying

Stephano is good but overrated imo, he's just another foreigner zerg.
Consistency is more important than taking one big tournament or being super for one month.
|
Calling someone the best is something I can never agree with unless they'd get achievements that would make it a fact that he/she is the best player but with stephano.. that's not the case.
+ I always believe there are little kids younger than us who have the potential to just humiliate the current top if they'd actually get the chance to go for it but unfortunately not everyone gets the chance to do so.
The thing I'm waiting for is the big guns from bw to finally switch over which will, without any doubt, kick the current top level to a higher level which can only be a good thing for starcraft.

he's already in korea -_-

Stephano always said (even during his WC3 carreer) that he doesn't practice much, that he can't play and if he is winning so much is because he has pure talent. He's a beast but stop hyping him so much, He has a pretty huge ego if i'ld say so myself. He needs a lot more than (even big) foreign tourney to be called "the best player in the world". Right now, MVP is the best player in the world, Stephano is not even close to the level of a Nestea or a Losira who did constantly well in GSL.
If he is able to do well constantly (6 months or so) in Korea as MVP or Nestea did, he'll rise to another status. At the moment, i'ld consider Huk better than Stephano based on the results.

Nobody is a super clear best in the world in sc2. that's reserved truly dominant players like flash/jd. MVP and Nestea... Best in the world, I think anyone will agree. Not really MVP is of course one of the best but there is still none 'best player in the world" in sc2. You can't lose against Haypro, or leenock and being the best. I didn't follow Brood War. But you can't seriously tell me that Flash, in his prime, never lost to an inferior opponent? A player doesn't have to be super dominant to be the best. He just needs to be better than everyone else. Also the fact that you would use Leenock as an example of a bad player proves you have no idea what you're talking about. there is no super dominant player in sc2 yet. that's the point. MVp and nestea and some others are the best at the moment sure. but not one or two players are ultra dominant like flash/jd/bisu. I also find Leenock's talent and play more impressive than Stephano. Leenocks run through MLG was more impressive than anything stephano has done.
ya youre right, Bisu is super dominant LOL

though, sometimes you don't really have a reason to dislike a certain player, nor do you even need one, sometimes it's just the feeling you get when you watch a certain player. BUT BUT BUT, keeping it shut is the best thing in that situation because saying "it's just a feeling" comes across as rediculous for a lot of people.
