1. Nestea 2. Leenock 3. LosirA 4. Destiny 5. DongRaeGu 6. Stephano 7. Spanishiwa 8. Morrow 9. Machine 10. IdrA
Edit: Damn spelling errors :/ Please tell me you are trolling, in reference to your top 10 zergs. I can't see you being serious here. The fact that your list isn't at least 7 or 8/10 Korean is absurd. The fact that you put Machine, Destiny, and Spanishiwa in there, or put them in even a top 30+, is mind-boggling. So please good sir, for the sake of my sanity, and for the sake of Daniel's sanity, tell me you're just joking.
Destiny > DRG and Machine > Idra? I chuckled a little.

He needs to be consistent. He won two big tournements back to back and that's nice and all. But I think we should wait around 6 months or even longer before bringing the b-word.

This is going to be long but it has to be said since your post is the most idiotic thing i have ever seen in my life.
1. You said that artosis said that stephano was the best zerg in the world. Incorrect, he thinks hes good but has a weird style and when it gets figured out he will fall off the map. 2. You attempt to critize other foreigner players with lies. You said that the team house of is terrible and is not showing results when its quite the contrary. Look at axslav, strifecro, or demuslim. Demuslim was the ace for eg in clan wars and was #1 in europe and na ladder at the same time and had an extradoinary run through the open bracket and championship bracket at mlg raleigh. Strifecro and axslav both qualified for iem ny when they never have qualified for anytihng before. Also a teamhouse doesnt really show its full potential until about a year which many many pro players have said and since you have neither lived in a pro house or are a pro player you are not qualified to talk about it. 3. You say stephano is the best player in the world when he got destroyed and didnt win a game at dreamhack in a relatively easy group compared to some of the others. 4. He never eliminated mma at ipl3 since they were on the opposite sides of the bracket.
Tl;dr: you are completely biased towards stephano causing you to have unrelevant and incorrect facts to make him look like a better person

Sigh... I don't know what to say. First let me say that Stephano is indeed very very good. I don't know if he will, as IdrA and a few others claim, fade out as people learn his style, or he will develop multiple styles in order to continue his strong play.
However, "Best in the World" as your request to change the title suggests? If he goes in a Bo. 10,000 with MVP, or MMA, or Nestea, or MC, or a whole slew of other players, I would be hard pressed to wager money on Stephano.
Somehow, Stephano, more than any other, has been awarded the best in the world title -.-

What is this thread I don't even know...
Yes stephano is good. No he is nowhere near best in the world. A lot of the things posted in the OP are flat out lies or huge exaggeration to make stephano seem better. Honestly, he's good, he won 2 tournaments, grats to him. However, he will fall off soon once people figure out his style, same with players like naniwa. It's happened before with players like kyrix and bitbybit, it will happen again with stephano and naniwa.

I'm a huge stephano's fan, seriously. But I just can't agree with you stating he is the best player in the world. He is (sadly) probably going to have a hard tim at blizzcup, I don't think he'll be able to go past the poolplay.
Nevertheless, he is a very talented player, and he will get better with all the practice he gets each day.
But no, he's not the best player in the world right now,.

LOL Title of the Thread got changed HAHA that's hilarious.

One thing that I get freaked out about Stephano is his hotkeys.. they are insane.. they are so neatly organized I tried copying it then my fingers started doing tap dance on a keyboard then I had a mental break down lol

Which is naturally what will happen when the game gets older and X is currently playing better than Y??...
It's similar MVP was better than July ever was at Starcraft BW

I'd say he's Code S level (based on how easily he progresses to the top GM of the Korean server in no time, with no prior experience with this server). But even this remains to be proven by actually playing in the GSL and becoming Code S. From there, he needs to win it. From there he needs to win it 4 times, and before MVP/Nestea/MC win 4-5 titles total. From there we can discuss Stephano being the best player in the world. All that's not impossible at all, I'm quite certain he could do it, but he must do it, otherwise all remains in the sphere of theoretical speculations.

I think it would be great if the title slowly gets less and less positive over time ^^ "Really Good", then "Decent", then "Not Bad", etc.

I don't think there is one sane person on this site that will argue with the currect title of the thread - "Stephano is a really good player".
Everyone knows he's a really good player
About the part of him being the best in the world, we would have to wait and see about that. He has huge potential that is for sure, but he has to prove it. And what better way to do so than by playing against 9 of the best players in the world in just a few days
I think the Blizzard cup will be providing answers to at least some of the speculation in this thread.

Stephano is the only one currently playing the game correctly. He has perfect balance between macro and army control. He always flanks with roaches, never a-clicks. His rally points are always with his army so he always attacks with 200/200. He also makes near perfect reads on his opponent.
|
Stephano is indeed very talented and seems to be a very nice guy. I am a fan, although i don't like zergs in general. :D He is not the best player in the world atm, but has the potential to get top 10 soon. :-) Go Stephano! ;-)

If you love him so much why dont you marry him.

lol did the mods change the title? they're just jealous stephano is running in circles around them teamliquid "pro's" KK^^

Using ladder dominance as an argument is pretty dumb. ForGG went like 30-1 on his stream doing one build against all 3 races and dominated on pure mechanics. Thats far more impressive than a 70%+ winrate on ladder. Nobody would argue he's a good player but he's not even top 5 zerg in my eyes much less top 5 overall lol... He needs to prove himself in code s before another garbage thread like this is created.
