Blizzard released a news concerning the close end of the season 4. As usual the league promotions will be locked. Nothing new on the horizon but i hope the Grandmaster issues will be solved next season.
The Season 4 lock also means that Season 5 is right around the corner. During the week of December 20, Season 4 will end and Season 5 will begin. Season milestone rewards will be locked in at this time, and bonus pools will start over. Hidden skill ratings used for matchmaking and league placement will carry over from the previous season, so if you've completed placement matches in a previous season you will only need to play one new placement match after Season 5 starts.

the amount of games i play is exponentially decreasing each season. i blame it mostly on the availability of so much content to watch. anyone else?

Two months is way too short! I hope blizzard changes it to three months, that, I believe, is a decent time length.

Mine have been increasing through seasons because I'm getting better. I guess I'd rather just play starcraft instead of watch other people play it.

It says "a" previous season, does that mean that what I've heard about MMR resetting if you skip an entire season completely (for each ladder) isn't correct? I heard it happened to one of Tyler's accounts, and some other people. In addition, I believe it just happened to me and a friends' 2v2 team. We were in masters league a couple of seasons ago, but didn't play any last season. This season we had to play all five placement matches again, and we certainly didn't play any masters level 2v2 teams.
Does anyone know anything about that? So far all I've seen about the MMR reset for the 1v1 ladder i anecdotal.

Am i the only one who think, that all these seasons are just a folding screen, behind the poor designed league's approach?

I think the length of the seasons are fine but jeez I barely played at all this season.....Just have little motivation when the map pool is so bad. Hopefully they add some more maps next season, laddering is really getting stale for me.

When finals are over I am going to try and get rid of my bonus pool before the season ends, it is about 300 right now >.<
Hopefully if I can do that with lots of wins I can get promoted for next season.

It's true, a friend of mine stop playing starcraft a few months ago and came back at the beginning of november with 5 placements matches and was ranked 80th in a silver division (he was platine before). He didn't play at all (not even one game) last season.
Btw, i hope they'll show some creativity and change de map pool this time, i was very disappointed last season :'(

Not sure how you can say this when the map pool is the best its been so far (obviously not perfect, but still miles ahead of any previous seasons map pool)
