not too surprised... seemed like it was a big name pickup for quantic (which i dont blame them at all for dont get me wrong), but IM didnt really seem to gain too much from it. best of luck to both quantic and IM in the future!

I wonder if this just means IM is pulling their interest from the foreign scene? Perhaps we wont be seeing IM players outside of korea from now on. I hope not though, its all kinda sad.

They did gain accommodations and travel expenses abroad. That was the gain for IM.

i think its just best for nothing to be said from both sides.
QxG just couldn't afford to start a 'shitstorm' with IM.
And IM seems to be too professional to engage in any of this.

i do feel though...QxG sort of rose based on this IM deal (convinced destiny/sase to join)...so probably will be scrambling to for another big anouncement.

oh and i feel sorry for the fanboys who bought QIM/QxG shirts b/c of the koreans lol.

Damn, I really liked seeing IM in foreign events, ripping through all of the lesser players.

This was fast and unexpected, I'm hoping we'll still see a lot from IM here in the States. :D

Hm i don't think IM will slow down participation in foreign tournaments. I mean between Nestea/MVP ripping it up it felt like both sides were getting what they wanted.

something like IM/EG makes more sense not because EG has the same level of players but just because they are the biggest NA esports team most likely.

i didnt even know what quantic gaming was before the "partnership"...

Yeah, that's definitely it. Destiny didn't want to go to korea to get good, he just wants to move their to get better internet for his stream. That must also be why he switched to own3d.tv, because they have less lag in other countries.

Who cares if they did? Quantic was a no-name, and low income gaming organization. If anything this partnership gave them the publicity they needed to get off the ground in SC2.

I really doubt living in a team house will be much better than just Korean ladder. There is a language barrier, after all. The team house is mostly just good for free food and free cleaning.
