Dear Don,

is there a way to increase my FPS even if I don't want to get better graphics?
My compouter is very crappy so I'm aiming for more FPS rather than having good looking graphics.
Of course I'm playing on everything low except Textures on High because somone told me that you can see cloaked units better.

So is there a maximus-fps setting?

Go into you graphics driver panel and set everything to "performance"? 1024x768 resolution? I don't know what else can give you FPS other than setting everything to low.

Btw: Why is my mouse so fast? :O
1) there's a way to completely disable shadows, which causes a giant fps increase, but i recently reformatted so i lost the config for it and need to figure out how to do it again

2) your mouse will appear to be moving faster on low resolutions. if you set your video card not to upscale lower resolutions, your mouse would be moving the same speed in a really tiny window

Meh, I tried tweaking Variables.txt to get rid of non-blob shadow to keep my FPS consistent, but it didn't work out. Putting shadow on really decreases FPS. Currently, I'm happy with my settings below which didn't decrease FPS at all:

In summary, what I did was to put everything on low, then change Texture Quality to Ultra, Effects to Ultra, Physics to Ultra, and Models to High. In Variables.txt, I added simplifiedCloaking=0 and simplifiedShaders=0.

So I can run SC2 on High with 70+ FPS but since it's easier to look at I've been playing with all low except effects on ultra (TLO and Huk use these). Anyone know Sase's graphic settings? They look quite well
...

For me it looks like all low except effects, textures and modells on high, not sure though. One problem I have, if I want the seeable forcefields you have to add
simplifiedCloaking=0
simplifiedShaders=0
But that also changes how the nexus looks and the pylon power radius colour and building grid. But I guess theres no way around that
...

hey i was just watching the nastl, rgn vs fxo and the ingame settings nasl uses is so crystal clear and crisp. Any idea on what settings to tweak in order to achieve the same ingame settings?

I wish to continue using these settings, but my variables keeps getting reset when starting game. Is there a line of incompatible code in these variables?
