These are apologies, that's fantastic, but you have given zero back. IGN's charity event filled the hole you left. The people you screwed are still screwed. Its going to be hard to explain your radio silence for so long. It'll take a lot to make me think that you are out for anything other than your own gain. Previous actions tell me this apology is to win community support and doesn't truly come from heartfelt apologies. Just yesterday your interview called things technicalities when its not. Maybe you are truly sorry, at which point I am sorry. But until then, no.

Did you just haphazardly seek sponsor money and hope that it would cover everything? Or did you actually have a planned delegation of funds, and things occurred that disallowed you to follow this plan? The answer of course is, NO, he didn't have a detailed financial plan going into this. Zero math was done ahead of time to see if the event could actually be paid for. But he'll refuse to admit it, and instead continue to rattle off the same old tired line of "we ran out of money" without ever explaining why they ran out of money. Plan or no plan, who gives? Lordadon Wait wait, I don't get it, how is gus missing (aka nowhere to be found to bail amanda out) and at the same time available for an intrrview? O.o YJY just letting you guys know: Gus and amanda have been in contact; not everyday, but they are trying to work things out (with difficulty). Jail is no longer an issue. Finances between amanda and gus are not a priority anymore. People are waiting to be paid (I won't name these people, but they are not the players). I know a lot of things right now (from friends and anons), so let me know if you have questions. I'll answer the things that I think should be answered. Dox I spoke to Amanda during Gus' interview to check if he actually had been in touch with her, this is what she said: Quote: Okay so basically on the 11th we spoke about the IGN waiver, then he didn't contact me for a few days. Then the 14th came and I asked him (Gus) about the waiver again as i didnt get a copy from the email. Then the 15th came and I gave some sentences about the fund raiser thing... I accidentally pressed his number on my phone, so I texted him "sorry, accident." He replied after that "did you get more than what you needed already?" I said "i dont know yet as IGN is still asleep" (Just for sake of clarity) Wasn't the reason why IPL had a funraiser was that Gus went AWOL and Amanda needs the money immediately? Right now the PPSL has around $23,000 in unpaid debt. $7,000 of that will be paid by us, but it seems like Gus, the organizer of the PPSL, is nowhere to be found and is not owning up to the remaining debt. http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=285511

There are also other outstanding dues that shoudl've been paid by Gus but shouldered by staff. Amanda had the biggest debt. A debt that was so big and could halt the travel agency business that she owed (Gus owed).

The rigid ones are cheaper, so, trying to save my employer some money, I purchased a spool of them. Probably once a month I had to replace a broken cable. The rigid versus flexible has to do with the wires inside the cable. When you step on them, or roll over them with an office chair, they crack. There's 8 wires in there, and you only need...I think it's between 3 and 5, I can't remember, for the cable to function. So as more and more wires are broken from extended contact with humans, the cable becomes less and less useful, until it craps out completely. I'm not saying that's what actually happened, but it's a real thing, I promise. And the stream did go faster on day 2, so maybe they just fixed the cable? I don't know. This is completely and utterly incorrect. Please read here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/100BASE-TX#100BASE-TX Also note that Cat 5e cable uses 24 gauge copper wire that typically, to quote wikipedia, "can be bent at any radius exceeding approximately four times the diameter of the cables". It's not easy to break. If they had Cat5 cables running at lengths greater than 100 feet then they may have run into trouble, but otherwise this had nothing to do with it. And you are referring to the difference between stranded and solid wiring within the cat 5 cables. Solid ones can be used everywhere if need be, I've never heard of anyone breaking the wires inside. I wasn't even talking about cat 5. And I think the wires I used were 10baseT. This was about 10 or 11 years ago. I figured that since the infrastructure in the Philipines is so crappy that maybe they were using older cables. They weren't moving at speeds that needed more then 10baseT anyways.

I figured that since the infrastructure in the Philipines is so crappy that maybe they were using older cables. They weren't moving at speeds that needed more then 10baseT anyways. No one even sells Cat3 cable anymore, where would they have gotten this? Also, 10baseT uses the same number of pairs (2) inside the eithernet cable, except that it was capped at 16MHz instead of the 25 of 100BASE-TX due to the fact that the Cat3 wire in use at the time was unsheilded and more vulnerable to crosstalk at higher transfer rates. Even so, most Cat3 cable is still going to use 22 gauge copper wire making it just as difficult to break. What does this have to do with infrastructure? Unless they were plugging ethernet cables into wall jacks wired with Cat3--and even if they were you are correct the 10Mb transfer rate should have been sufficient. And unless the wall jack has an RJ11 connecter (very old standard though I have seen it still) you would actually be able to use Cat5e for patch cables. But this still has nothing to do with your original point about people walking on cables and causing lag. It's just wrong. I really don't want to be rude, but I think there is enough drama regaurding this tourney without additional baseless accusations being thrown around. + Show Spoiler + In something truly unrelated, the reason why all those solid conductor cables you bought all those years ago were "breaking", is likely because you were not crimping them with the correct type of RJ45 connector. The kind that only have two clips and bisect the wire are ment for stranded cable and can in fact break the conductors in the solid kind. You can buy connectors that have three clips and can hold the solid wire securly without breaking it.
