PDD has been around for quite a while. He's taken care of a lot of the LR threads for big events like GSL. In other words, he actually helps out the community here sometimes, so don't start flaming him and acting like he's the guy responsible just because he disagrees with you. That actually proves his point, that all this excessive hatred against the guy is getting stupid. Yeah, from what we've seen, he's a sleazy guy and should probably be shunned from the community. Having people that aren't even involved in any of this randomly flaming each other over the issue isn't going to help anything, though.
@ the racist comment, yeah, I saw people throwing it around too but wasn't sure what exactly it was about. I thought it had something to do with him cancelling Cube's (Philippine team) tickets, but not sure. Still a lot to be straightened out.

As for the racist comments AZKziek (zanooku) is responsible for those remarks, he has frequently used them. In fact, one of the players he insulted "KJH" confronted him IRL and zan he proceeded to chicken out and deny ever saying those words.

He was banned from sc2sea with multiple accounts at least 5 times and was banned from the battle.net forums on his multiple bnet accounts as well.
Witchdoc as far as i know did not make any racist comments, just made alot of false promises he couldn't back up + terrible organisational planning so please don't turn the thread into a racist debate its heading the wrong way.

Gus being racist is something that wasn't shown or proven with this incident or expressed in this thread before someone challenged the accusation. Usually the way things work is that a huge allegation like "X is racist" needs to be supported by evidence _without_ needing someone to say "Okay... prove it." And no, it's not relevant. This thread isn't about the laundry list of things Gus Ledesma has done wrong, it's about Gus Ledesma screwing over YJY, the IPL and basically everyone at this event. So unless Gus was blatantly racist at this event, his being racist is completely irrelevant.

You are nitpicking criticism to deflect some of the animosity aimed toward this dirtbag so that is in a way defending him. The racism accusations are from other forum members on SEA and expand further than just this tournament. I'm not mad at him, he disgusts me. Nothing I've said is something new and has already been said on other forums. Well, 2 examples of racism, shitting on Cube and calling someone a "nig" on his twitter. I have no idea if this guy is racist or not, but there are people who seem to think he is. Either way, there's no reason to argue about it. All it will end up doing is getting this thread shutdown.
And I think this is the third thread attacking Gus. Well, really the first one targetted directly at him, and I think it's great that it's here so we can all vent about this. My point though is that this thread had it's title changed, that might be why you think there was 4.

I've been trying to think of the best way to say this guy sucks but I don't think saying "crucify him!" etc. is necessary. The only way I can express myself is through the gif below me. I would like to throw a TON of props to IPL and Dox. They've both handled this very well and held themselves much higher than this guy deserves. Kudos to them ♥

I agree that his not being racist, nor do I care if he is or isn't. But what he has done has shown is a completely biased event and running the IPL and SEA brand through the dirt with this, what I'd call, bullshit. Instead of communicating with sponsors(IPL), Players(YJY) and Dox, he was out getting trashed with Tasteless. I mean honestly, this guy can only do harm to everyone around him. His team included.

Rachel herself has shed more light on the situation there, saying just that the organizers just didn't have the resources or experience to hold the tournament. If they are willing to stick up for a tainted tournament at least just for the fans, who gave you the right to say who or what stays in or out of ESPORTS?

I think there has been a misunderstanding, the allegations of racism came from a member of the 'Cube' team, the same guy who said that Gus denied them their flight tickets. (Can't find the quote but it's posted on Dox's blog post)

Some people will take a loot at a situation and turn a blind eye to the bad parts. For Rachel to say that the problem was "that the organizers just didn't have the resources or experience to hold the tournament" is like saying the Nazi's problem was that they had all these guns and tanks and soldiers. (I'm not comparing anyone to nazis). It's the choices that were made that affected other people that is the problem here. The promises made and broken, the people lied to and stabbed in the back, the contracts broken. The shady and underhanded bullshit. People that do things like that in other sports get spotted and outted and never come back again. That's what needs to happen here.
