Hydra is probably the number 2 zerg in the current brood war scene. First being jaedong and potential rival for that number 2 spot is zero. He won a starleague recently even beating jaedong on his path. Possibly the biggest name on this list after Bisu and maybe Fantasy.
nbs was never a big name. Only tournament I recall him playing in was some foreign event where him and orion (don't remember for sure but it was a cj zerg) crushed through the foreign competition.
Horang2- He started out as one of the cheesiest players alive. He was the god of modern day proxy rushes and bullshit allins. Recently he has become a powerful PvP sniper and is well known for his 2 base mass gateway allins in the other matchups.
Bogus- He was heavily criticized for the longest time for playing horribly. Recently he has become the ace player for STX soul while Calm and Kal are in semi-slumps. Overall a pretty solid Terran now.
Snow- Another really big dog in the brood war scene. Back when Idra was on Cj b-team, I recall him mentioning Skyhigh's TvT prowess and Snow's absurd PvT. Snow has surfaced as possibly a top 5 protoss in the current brood war scene. He rose up initially with some nice PvT wins including a dominant win over Flash. Recently he showed some of the sickest PvZ ever in a bo5 series against Jaedong (lost 2-3 but only because Jaedong is a beast).
Skyhigh- He was a huge rising name in the brood war scene in 2009. Recently though he has not been performing well and has only really surfaced as a TvT sniper.
soo- Probably the strongest zerg on SKT1 (not saying much). A guess he qualifies as a decent zerg with his recent top 4 finish in a starleague. We'll see soon whether this run was a fluke or if he is actually a solid zerg now.
Hero- Rather inconsistent zerg that has ridiculous apm.
hyvaa- He was estro's (estro was the team puma, bomber, fruitdealer, tester, and killer were on) zerg of choice back in 2008ish. Never really impressed but estro players seem to be doing quite well in sc2.
Trap- This guy beat IdrA 2-1 in Gom Classic S3 
Most of these players are mid to low ranked players in brood war. I'd say they are comparable to MVP in brood war. Snow and bogus are probably a step above the rest and hydra a step even higher then those two.
