I like these changes. I think it's fair to decrease the upgrade cost for the most gas heavy race. Also it's not like 25/25 decrease here and 50/50 there are going to cause a massive swing. It will add a couple more zealots/stalkers/sentries. A couple extra units in an army won't break the game, but it will help protoss out. Hopefully, this change will allow more Protoss to get into code S. I especially liked the cost decrease on shield upgrades. When I played protoss I often neglected shields because of how expensive they were and how little the upgrade does vs Terran.

Good news indeed, also not sure why the weapon/armour costs need changing, cheaper charge maybe...

Kinda wish they'd do something like have an active guardian shield cancel out an emp hitting inside it (at the cost of deactivating the GS of course) Just a single emp doesn't cancel out all micro possibilities for the toss player. Would open up all kinds of micro/mind games with trying to force guardian shields by poking up a ghost. But I can't see that happening as its a code change rather than just radius/cost buffs/nerfs.

Fungal on a group of ghosts is deadly, but to be honest the fear of ghosts is unwarranted as of yet. Only pros have been able to use mass ghost effectively in TvZ. I doubt your games have hinged on that fact without some other glaring flaw. Ghost transitions are difficult and costly.

I can understand the armor and shield changes, since both were less cost effective than armor upgrades for Terran and Zerg. The EMP also needed a change, since it was a bit too strong against high templar and sentries. Not sure about the weapon upgrade cost change though...

Honestly if a terran is controlling his ghosts right than they should beat a toss whose mainly investing in HT's

One thing that kinda annoys me about this is that "controlling his ghosts right" actually means "has sick sick micro skill". Also keeping HTs in a warp prism will always be viable.


My point is is that if the toss and terran are on an equal level micro wise, the ghosts should beat HT's.

The emp change is great, but I feel that if these changes goes through TvP gonna become quite hard lategame... nerfing the costs of all upgrades is IMO overkill, only shield cost nerf would've been enough.

i'm a little bit confused because protoss was more favored in the late game, but i suppose this helps them reach that stage a bit more safely as they can afford to have a few more units to defend drops while getting those upgrades.

emp nerf was needed as well, so i'm glad to see it. this change will be good for the matchup.
