I really don't like to bitch about things at all, but I did kind of notice this the first time I saw the Swarm Host. I'm generally not afraid of anything and I can handle my fair share of gore. The only thing that really gets to me is slow damage to human eyes and loss of nails.

What overcomes me though is the desire to rip those fucking eggs out of those holes. I just want to rip that fucker open and have those god damn things stop fucking taunting me.

I can sympathize with the fear thing though. I get it, it implies some sort of parasitic infection and we're programmed to avoid such things so it doesn't spread to us. Sure it's illogical to be threatened by a game and the zerg are supposed to be nasty, but this guy strikes a very specific nerve I find.

You seem to have forgotten that SC2 also has a single player experience, WHICH IS COMPLETELY ZERG ORIENTED THIS TIME. You also seem to have forgotten that everyone who plays this game aren't good at macroing, microing and all that other crap. in fact most players sit in the bronze league were most players watch the battles from start to finish without ever moving the screen.

If a new unit pops up I'm sure as hell going to stare at the picture until my optical senses are satisfied. With that said;

No. The unit design does not bother me, but that video did because of that disgusting fish, and not the holes.

I've always had this sensation, I don't think that it qualifies as a "phobia" though. I don't think that it is a fear as much as a sense of disgust.

1 in 5 feel disgusted by the swarm host holes. Doesn't seem like the 0.1% some people were talking about. The question that as many people would feel disgusted by all zerg units seems unlikely seeing that this is the first time this issue has ever been brought up. Zerg units may remember insects, but one thing is them being ugly to look at, another is them making one uncomfortable when he looks at it. Lotus seed pods for instance are kind of beautiful but i personally still find them uncomfortable to look at.

so, when i saw the apple with the tiny hole i instantly turned the browser off and my heartbeat went a bit crazy, but i feel comfortable watching the swarmhost, i mean, i am not afraid or disgusted by it... nor am i by any other zerg unit :D

Made it all the way through the video. Some real gross stuff in there especially the fingertip one.

I did get a tad itchy during the video but not nearly enough for me to actually scratch. Based on the number of people that it makes uncomfortable maybe they should do a different art design. Interesting stuff

I think the Swarm Host looks like a mario kart- turtle with a toad's back(some toads keep their brood in holes on their back)..I love the role it filles. Every race should be able to contain/pressure/siege midgame.

I find this rather silly.

I hear that Selendis is the reason that 38% of all Protoss players play that race, Kerrigan is the reason that 84% of all Zerg players play that race, and Nova is the reason why 95% of all Terran players play that race.

Can we get some ~~augmented~~ adjusted breast sizes in here so that we get an even ratio of each race being played?
