Btw: I wish Dreamhack and SVT (Swedish state television) would officially team up to do the broadcasting for the world... However, the last Dreamhack during summer, SVT had a free high quality stream online with a studio etc, worked very well. They're doing it again for sure | ||

Poker tournaments typically payout in this fashion as well (usually top ~30% of field). | ||

The players already all get invited, by which I understand they don't have to pay an entry fee (which differs from poker what you are talking about), So that they only get paid if the finish in the top 8, seems more then fare to me. | ||
