Voted for Thorzain/Huk imo, Huk is looking like he's burning out a bit right now though :/

And I miss the time where Jinro would have topped the list without any questions T.T

The reason they all left is because they lost in code a round 1. They couldn't get into code s because they weren't good enough.

DongRaeGu just beat Mvp 2-0. The guys ZvT is incredible. For a non-Korean to do better against DRG than Mvp is pretty fricking incredible. Against a player that good it's difficult to catch him off guard and also to exploit the fact that he may have made a mistake. DongRaeGu just beat (T)LucifroN and (T)Rain 2-0 each and made them look EZPZ. Taking 2 games off the guy demonstrates that you have incredible skills, and really impressed me. Plus, ThorZaIN's play against (P)Liquid`HerO and (P)HuK proved that he has some of the best TvP in the world. You can say that he didn't play well, but it just makes you look silly, because DRG makes everyone who plays him look bad. However, DRG usually doesn't give up two games in a Bo5 against Terran players. ThorZaIN played great, saying otherwise makes you look like a fool.

If you actually watched the games in Dreamhack you would notice that really Thorzain was pretty badly outclassed but got very favourable spawns and managed to take two games. DRG looked the better player even in the games he lost.

I don't know why you're bringing up MVP. He beat DRG at MLG, he beat him in Team League both times making it look pretty one sided. Obviously if MVP plays DRG enough sooner or later he's going to lose, but when he did it was in by far the least important setting.

As for Thorzain's TvP. Basically Protoss is total shit right now, everyone beats Protoss especially Terran and Hero has bad PvT especially (you can't void ray all in every game). There is like thirty Terran's in Korea with better TvP than Thorzain. There's countless Terran's who just don't lose vs Protoss in Korea right now.

They weren't significantly favorable spawns. Not to mention he almost took Drg out in game 5 despite getting cross positions. He just needed to take a third sooner and not lose all his shit to banes. I also disagree regarding the game on Antiga. Thorzain did a great job at holding out that game and dealing with the muta/ling harass. Hell, rain got completely destroyed in his games against Drg in a similar situation.

You also underestimate his TvP. I would think his TvP is quite formidable considering he beat MC with no lag handicaps, back when MC just won his 2nd gsl title and went on to win the Copenhagen game dropping only a single game while he was in Europe.

That was months ago and an online tournament. MC has an easily winning ratio vs him in MCs worst matchup.

How many foreigners could be top 100 on KR ladder?

We know Huk can, so that's one.

Only those who live in Korea, naturally. For example SaSe, he was even in the top10 for a while.

The main reason Huk is still in Code S is that most top players there pick the hardest opponents when it comes to group selection, to prove their worth and give the fans great games. Huk on the other hand, always picks the easiest possible opponents in order to have a chance to linger for another season. Nothing wrong with that though, if I wasn't able to compete at the level of the best I would likely do the same.

So when Naniwa, Sase and Thorzain get opponents even easier than the ones Huk is in a group with in Code S and proceed to lose to them (generally 2-0), what exactly does that say about them?

Please state which players Thorzain, SaSe and Naniwa has had in their group and lost to 0-2 but Huk has had in his Code S group and won against. Or did you just make that up?

Regardless, No need to take a way around it and bring in some third party (with some flawed logic of paper beat stone, and stone beat scissors, so paper must own scissors!!11).

Thorzain and Huk has faced each other several times. Twice in the past few days, at Dreamhack, in which Thorzain won convincingly and in the EG Masters Cup, where Thorzain also won, both were best of threes. As far as I know, they've faced each other three times in public and Thorzain has won each time.

As such, I take Thorzain for the stronger player than Huk, though they are quite close.

That logic retarded as it only proves who is better in PvT. For example MMA usually beats Nestea but Nestea is a better player because Sc2 is not all about one matchup.

haha I agree. Korean players are too nice so they compliment everyone.

Oh yeah and it's sad when you have people saying "Jinro who?" now. Oh well I think SC2 is too unstable to say who's #1. Obviously we know who the top players are, but to ask for a #1 player isn't rational. Too many tournaments, too many upsets, and etc.

Who doesn't deserve to be on the list: you could argue for everybody but i picked Select, he just hasn't won much stuff compared to the others and shows weak games more often.

Who do you miss: many could be put on there, but i voted for white-ra, he has won several tournaments and showed very impressive games.

Seein mana with only 2% of votes and Sen in front of IdrA and Stephano makes me wonder how many people actually voted based on current skill and performance and how many just voted due to sympathy.

Sen is better than idra as of late and stephano is a monster but really needs to show up to some big lans before he gets too much hype.

Idra left while he was still in Code S.

Only reason he left is because he wasn't getting any further than RO8 Code S, so he pretty much relied on MLGs and such to win money.

Unfortunately Koreans followed him.
