Well, what is he known for, really? Somehow getting a spot in the Blizzcon Invitational? Beating Destiny at MLG?

I know him, but he hasn't really done anything significant, am I correct?

You should look at the ladder once in a while.

Probably the best zerg in NA.

Haha, I guess so. There's korean versions of those guys as well. Hell, yonghwa is #1 GM right now and he's never been code A in his career.

I'll let someone else tell this guy how retarded this statement is. I feel I'd get warned.

Watch the guys games.

I'm not saying he's the best in the world, just that the guys better than 99.9% of the people questioning him.

Stop flaming on guys who destroy the ladder but aren't that known. The majority of them will end -up doing well, just like Stephano, Nerchio, Huk (at the all beginning) etc... If you see a guy you don't know and performing well on ladder this always means he has a great potential and will shine a day. One of the exemple is titan who top the ladder this season and beat good guys at DH. But there's plently of exemples

He got the short end of the stick when NRG got bought by Sixjax. For some reason they didn't take him, and I imagine he's had difficulty going to a lot of tourneys thanks to that. He did have some sweet games v huk @ the Bnet invitational.

that's kind of irrelevant, incontrol or destiny are better than 99.99% of the players on this planet, yet on the pro scene theyre not really a big deal at all.

That's usually a positive sign on his skills. For example, MVP wouldn't go on a macro game with a lesser opponent (like a random guy from ladder). He will see an opportunity and kill him before all that.

Also i have a theory about the all EU > NA history. I don't think that EU is that far ahead therofore the "good" EU players got A LOT more exposure than the NA good players. This is why we know plently of great european players and in the same time i can't quote 5 top NA player (maybe because im european too). But i have the impression american people like to cheer for mediocre good talking players like Destiny and Incontrol instead of watching the truelly good players they have.

inc and destiny are both 50% ladder players on na, ostojiy is 80% ~ rank 1 theres a huge difference in consistency and skill
Question.?

I don't think it's a secret that EU pros > NA pros overall. EU had a lot more talent going into sc2 than NA did coming from either sc1 or wc3. If people are talking about players under like top 50 GM then I don't think there's reason to believe there is much difference there.

I'm sure AhhBoxxah has played ostojiy many times so he'd know how good he is.
Ganzi beat me without stim. Ostojiy beat me with a nydus. Siphonn beat me with probes. Revival beat my sentry-immortal all-in.
