Didn't split MM at all against fungals he knew were coming. I saw stephano's team controversy play and then this thread. I was looking quickly for replays of him to see what all this fuss was over. I still do not find his "ladder run" impressive at all. I downloaded every replay I could find of him and most games were not impressive. However I found a few more games against talented pros and watched this match. I think he is quite a good player. While I think MMA probably was actually tired this game here if MMA was playing at 100% would be closer, but I'm not so sure the outcome would be different. I still don't see the extreme fuss over him. He is good, but there are many good players. I hope to see more of his action and less drama about him.

Well, I guess there's such a fuss over him because IdrA used to be the foreign hope. He has proven that he can't compete with koreans several times and now people put their hopes into Stephano. Considering he's only 18 years old and just recently started putting all his time into this game it might turn out well for him. He'll prove himself in MLG orlando I hope.

Is he really the only hope? Thorzain Huk Naniwa. I never really considered IdrA the foreign hope, but did root for him to win. I always thought HuK would figure it out first, but that doesn't seem to be happening. I do hope however that a bunch of white people go over and stomp through the GSL. Hopefully though some foreigner can take down this MLG GO WHOEVER!!!

Stephano is quite impressive though I think he can become really good maybe even top code S but he still has a long road to go.

Watched that game vs MMA and I thought Stephano played well but not amazing and that MMA was not playing his best, and the games didn't matter anyway.

Give him a break. And people claiming his IPL 3 Qualifier run to be a fluke, and adding comments like + Show Spoiler + On October 01 2011 23:32 NoobSkills wrote: Didn't use a dropship until 17:00 in game minutes (for marines). Did you ever ask yourself why you often see hilariously bad mistakes in pro games, while in a pro vs semi-pro / third rated player, the pro 99% stomps the other guy without making a mistake while making his opponent looking like a huge scrub? Downplaying his games / achievements is disgusting.

His ladder rank is consistently superior to Stephano, and whilst he has not won a tournament, he should be getting just as much hype as Stephano considering Stephano has not won anything either. Demuslim has the sickest winrate and whilst that may be attriubted to Terran's immunity to cheese, it still shows solid fundamentals and good builds. Watched that game vs MMA and I thought Stephano played well but not amazing and that MMA was not playing his best, and the games didn't matter anyway. hm tbh his ladderun was made when he was already GM. going from match placement to #1 GM is not as impresive that doing a score of 64-1 being GM.

I didn't realize that the lag was so much worse than NA>KR (How a lot of other pros seem to do it). That really sucks. Though it explains a lot, as to why you rarely hear about EUR players on the KR ladder. Anyway, GJ to Stephano, that's absolutely ridiculous.

I'm not dismissing the guys talent because his strategy is quite good, but if you think that was MMA's 100% you're sadly mistaken. I could list more examples from that game, but why bother obviously I'm a Stephano hater. Edit: You EU players seem to really stick to you guys. I wish I was this angry when everyone was dogging Huk.... Oh wait I'd rather have a reasonable discussion on the topic at hand.

I claim Stephano was tired and didn't play 100% and you can't prove otherwise. See how constructive this is? edit: He was also tired and had to pee vs Ryung in case you wonder so that loss doesn't count.
