gl huk. doesnt matter ur team u're awesome, but eg?

A complete shocker, that's for sure. I thought HuK would be with Liquid forever, heh. Developing promising talents vs. acquiring established talents, I suppose. Makes me wonder if some SlayerS members (BoxeR recruits mostly unknowns with promising talents) will start jumping ship when they gain success.
EDIT: Oh, and good luck to HuK!

The Koreans don't speak english, what Huk really benefited from Ogs was games against good practice partners, something he probably won't loose just because he left the house. On the other end he gets IdrA who speaks english pretty well and has a great understanding of the game. If they can get to collaborate, he will benefit from it greatly. And that's when they are just the 2 of them (considering that puma doesn't speak english), but EG might sign new foreigners or bring some from the US. It might not be as good as having MC as a teacher, but i really doubt that huk's choice of going to EG will come to bite him in the ass.
Even if the Koreans didn't speak english (which is not really true as Hero and Mc can be understood quite well), they know the unit names in english and they certainly can communicate well enough for technical stuff about the game. See SlayerSCella's video for example http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=252709 With "nonono" and gestures, you can understand a lot of things

Sure it was a couple weeks of negotiation but still, I don't think he will be able to achieve his maximum skill level practicing with Puma and Idra.
Time will tell I guess.
EG offered a higher salary quite likely. Simple as that.

Being a progamer is generally not lucrative and almost always not a sustainable life long profession. Iff hes seriously making 'life changing' money, he can invest well and perhaps stablize himself for the future, after progaming.
Well done HuK, you worked your ass off, here is your reward.

Hate to agree but I think this is the bottom line.
Huk is a big star now
I hope all the travel doesn't burn him out, he is following his dream and all the best to him.

I just want to see foreigners do well in Korea, and I'm sure Huk will continue to do so. So I think the news is awesome, what with idra returning there also. That banner now in the op gives me nerd chills.

The return of the Leather Gracket!!!!

lol i can see all of this ending very badly.
Notice how they asked for Nazgul's permission to enter talks, unlike they did to Puma and TSL?

Notice how they asked for Nazgul's permission to enter talks, unlike they did to Puma and TSL? They asked Puma to talk to his coach/manager... once they did talk his coach twitted it that night that they signed puma. which i thought they signed him days later? shrugz.

yeah but they went straight to puma, they didnt talk to the coach first like they should have, so Puma had already decided without disscusing it because they had made a good offer. but in this case they did ask. either they learned from their mistakes or they just have less respect for the korean teams.

this is so cool, first off this is the sort of cool contract power plays that will get alot of money rolling in esports, and also IdrA in korea? hellz ya dude. Also i think IdrA cxan become dominant once again if he is training with puma and huk
|
Bye huk, Better this way. Then all players i dont like are in the same team. easier to hate
|
LIQUID Huk is the only huk, Huk leaving TL and oGs house will not be good for him, MC is one of the guys responsible for his success(being in oGs house is major too). how can you leave MC!!
|
awww now I have to start rooting for EG slightly, great pickup.
|
Meh HuK is overrated, love IdrA even tho he's not a perfect player either although with practice he's one of the better... just needs to get over himself to really make it.
I can't wait until they discus this one some of the podcasts, regarding how IdrA and HuK will communicate/practice when IdrA has said on multiple occasions that HuK is shit or really stupid.

EG #1 Go Huk Puma Idra haterz gonna hate )))))))))

Kennigit James Lampkin EG came to us when the agreement was 99% complete. The only knowledge we had of it was through Huk himself. Important difference.
