Anna and Geoff will occupy and maintain the NA house, and the other team members will use it when travelling from Korea for foreign events. I don't expect to see Geoff in too many events after this next MLG. I'm sure he will be the face of EG and represent them in shows like itg and SotG.

Yes, Liquid did provide and environment where HuK could excel, flew him around, supported him, allowed him to mature as a player. But come on, don't take anything away from HuK's own hard work. Furthermore, Liquid also benefited from having HuK on their team, why have him otherwise? They get traffic, results, promotion etc.. It's not a one way street. Believe me, HuK was profiting from Liquid as much as Liquid were profiting from HuK.

He's already in Korea training with amazing practice partners such as MC & co and had been increasing at an incredible rate as everyone can see. Not to mention he already made some very close friends at the oGs house like MC and Jinro. On top of that, Liquid had already been sending him to almost every foreign event, so it's not like he gets to go to more tourney or anything. To me, he's moving away from a place that has already shown results, away from comfort of his good friends, and less practice partners. So why the move? Is it simply just for money? PS: Sorry if this has been answered, I didn't browse through the entire 50 pages of the thread 6 figure annual salary.

To me, Idra going back to Korea is just as big news. I hope EG will form some kind of alliance with the F.United guys. Wouldn't it be great to have a progamer house with ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Believe me, HuK was profiting from Liquid as much as Liquid were profiting from HuK. I exactly agree with this. And honestly, it is not only the team environment, but the player's pesonality and hunger to improve. Jinro, TLO, Haypro and Ret were in the same environment as HuK. Why did only HuK survive until the end? Because he has the hunger to improve and you cannot buy that. Either you have it or you don't. So sure, Liquid is great, but if it were only the team itself, then I would see Jinro, Ret, TLO and Haypro in code S. They are not there. You can put any excuses you want, but SC2 in Korea is a cutthroat scene and is not for everyone. So HuK, I congratulate you for your hard work and that it has finally paid off with a 6 figure salary. Screw engineering and computer science, boys now have pro-gaming as a solid career. "Mom! He is making 100K a year, I want that too."

I think financially this is a great choice for him. Practise wise, I dont think this really helps him, or could even be detrimental. At oGs-TL, he got to practise with some really good players. After all, oGs is one of the best teams out there (despite gstl). Practising with idra and puma would be good but he wont be able to develop as fast as if he were in his former house.
