It makes sense for many of those teams but oGs is a surprising withdrawl imo.
PM me if you want random korean images translated.

This really sucks. I know NASL probably did all they could to accomodate the Koreans, but it seems like it just wasn't enough. I guess SC2Con had exactly what they wanted in mind, and didn't want to compromise one bit. Also, they should've really sorted all this stuff out much sooner. I can't believe an organisation that's supposed to be presenting most teams and players in korea, were so lazy with their timing.

It's a shame, because NASL will lose viewers due to this. I hope not too much though.

Oh, and I wonder if EG scouting Puma (and other koreans) at the NASL finals had any influence in their decision.

this is very disappointing, good try NASL, at least there are still some koreans left.

Its seems pretty unreasonable the attitude of the Korean committee, specially given that the Koreans teams are very likely to dominate the tournament anyway.

I'm still really looking forward to the event..I'm sure it will be full of great quality games!!

Its pretty clear that the money is not the problem here. Maybe playing at un-convinient hours and having a high latency are the real issues.

Wait, how does this one organization speak for all Korean SC2 players? I understand there's a players organization, but can these players not do as they please? How is this any different from MLG or anything else?

This feels very Kespa-esque and unexpected, to me.

How about you change your fuckin terrible format. One series and you get knocked out? Who gives a shit if you pay for all their expenses. They are not going to travel across the world only to play for 30 minutes. I think this was a huge factor in why they chose not to participate.

Eh I guess that means the nasl finals wont be 100% korean. I have absolutely no problem with that, a matter of fact, I might enjoy it more.

"Koreans" still in? *edit* added quotes so there's no debate on what exactly is a Korean. This is more of a question of who is in and who is out.

Some of the Korean players should be able to pay out of their own pocket, yeah? Haven't MC and MVP made like 150k+ in tournaments so far?

I'm gonna be devil's advocate and say we should wait for the other side of the issue to come forward (if they plan to do so ofc)

However, if this is all true, it sounds like Korea is doing a good job of killing e-sports all by itself; why would you deny yourself (and your players) a chance at that huge money pool because the stipend isn't big enough even after increasing three times? Wouldn't they want that money to come back to Korea especially since they say they have a low level of sponsorship?

Nooooooooo.

There goes my chance to ever see MKP live.

Looks like NASL just lost most of its viewers, too. Now it's just IPL with much worse production quality. :|

I don't see why the NASL just took the money out of the prize pool and put it into travel funds for Koreans. I'm sure none of them would've minded, and it's not like non Koreans were going to win the prize pool anyway.
do you have enough resolve, hero of justice?
