I had no problem with Korean participation in the tournaments, but if they don't want in, we don't need em. I'll still get my season ticket.

yup. NASL has been in full force whining about it with Xeris feeding the flames. Regardless of what happened, it doesn't look classy for them to air their grievance in this manner.

But the organization has kinda made iffy decisions since day 1, and you can tell their professionalism by the quality of their work. No doubt, it was a huge task to co-ordinate events suchs as their first tournament and I'm sure their support staff put in the hours, but can anyone say that it was well-organized, well planned or even well executed?

They aren't whining or airing their grievance, they're informing fans why Koreans won't participate in season2 despite their best efforts to make them. Imo, NASL will probably lose more on this than the Koreans but for all I care the Koreans are not needed.

Yes they are. All they had to say was 'unfortunately it didn't work out and the Koreans will not be participating.' But they chose not to.

And can you actually tell me that this community would accept such a bland non answer? They would want to know why they weren't playing. Especially the ones who already paid for a season pass.

just put out three spots for koreans to participate via a cup in korea as a qualifier and pay the winners full expenses for the trip. this way you do not have to spend that much and will still have some very good players from korea coming to nasl finals.

i think it is a good thing to have koreans playing in the tourney as it ups the level of competition.

It could have been worded better than that surely. The problem with how they have handled this on their side, is that they aren't leaving the door open for the koreans to return in future seasons. Placating the community now, at the expense of destroying any semblance of a professional relationship with the koreans, is only going to hurt NASL in the long run.

Thats lame. I had great respect for these players and the committee. We non Koreans do alot to watch and support the GSL and the SC2 scene overseas. Now when North America starts its own league, we can't get any support or rely on top players to show up and reward the loyalty we have given them? I call bull shit.

Yes they could have worded it better, I agree 100%, especially since a lot this drama has resulted from miscommunication on both ends. But for the people saying its all on NASL, remember the Koreans did sign contracts for season 2 after qualifying and then backed out of them. So they aren't blameless in this whole thing.

I'm excited for the new player list.

I wasn't aware that they even planned to replace that many players on such short notice, I just assumed we were going to see a shorter, truncated season with less players.

So we got rid of KESPA to get SC2Con? Was there even a net gain in this? At any rate, I'll still be watching NASL.

This is actually great news! Now we can have a completely competitive foreign tournament, where our players can shine and improve the esport foreign scene.

Meh, I prefer watching foreign players anyways. Nice to have a real NASL now instead of another GSL.

I wonder is NASL gonna pay Koreans at all even prize money and deposits from last season. Typically when someone is in non performance of a contract you withhold funds and let a judge decide once they file. Ultimately guy who has the money has upper hand, not Koreans.

Koreans teams are killing e-sports. Unfortunately I'm not joking.
