Lol, I could go on and on about how wrong you are about yellow, but I won't waste my time. My only point will be that when you say "from my limited broodwar knowledge..." you should think about everything you just said prior probably isn't very valid. Many players before yellow retired were more "in form" than him but he is a legend.. not boxer level but still. Boxer was way worse than most BW players when he retired and started sc2 and look how far he has gone.

He obviously read the post. The dude called Yellow medicore and he replied by saying Yellow is not medicore and infact an actual BW legend. I never heard of him til I started playing SC2 but its obvious he's quite a respected player.
Whats so hard to understand, you should take your own advice and read posts before replying.

Ya.. he is talking about that, you are correct. What he doesn't seem to understand however (apparently you don't either) is that GSL is not making this a big deal becuase Yellow was a lower end BW player towards the end of his career. They are making it a big deal because Yellow was a LEGEND. When he was in his prime he put any of these lower end BW players to shame. That is why this is a big deal.

If you have even gotten into an OSL you probably have double the potential of most GSL-players no matter when you got into that OSL.

Just to confirm for those still unsure: YellOw will NOT be seeded into Code A. He will be fighting through the preliminaries like everyone else. The Korean version of Part 1 makes this clear through subtitles. It's less clear in the English version though...

Poor Yellow is going to get his ass handed to him at the preliminaries.
It's simply not possible to get into Code A with just a pro BW background and little experience in SC2. Doesn't matter if you're a some B-teamer, an ex-legend or a current superstar.
Flash or Jaedong couldn't do it in a month, so Yellow won't be able to do it as well. Simple as that.

Nevertheless, the greatness of this show will always be about the journey, not the destination.
Nal ra's Old Boy's awesomeness is not diminished despite the fact that he got knocked out by Puma. Project A's awesomeness will not be diminished no matter how YellOw does at the Code A prelims.
If YellOw succeeds, then we all are rewarded with yet another legendary player joining NaDa, July, BoxeR and others continuing their progaming journeys in SC2.
If he fails, we are still rewarded with an excellent show as YellOw's last farewell present to his fans before possibly moving on to others things. If he does end up completely switching over to SC2 despite his first Code A failure, then it is only a matter of time before he climbs to the top.
Everything about this seems win-win to me.
