Wow... It looks like TSL is done. They have lost their reputation and it's gonna be even harder for them to get sponsors in the future =(

Best news out of this is that they might finally take out that annoying G-Skill commercial that has been playing for the last year after every single break.

Funny how everyone was making out how respectable coach lee is, and how they flamed puma for leaving such a loyal coach....He lost my respect.

people, and coach Lee, were flamming EG for approaching the players from behind, only a minority flaming puma for leaving which is quite unreasonable.

What's the purpose behind being in the SC2PA? SlayerS still isn't in it according to that last line, and now TSL is gone as well. What difference does it make to take part in it?

It seems as though they left to avoid paying back the wages.

i dont get it, they didn't pay trickster or fruitdealer because they weren't doing well so they left the team? then they advertised with them without paying them? not as big of a deal as i thought.

Which teams are members of the SC2 Players Association?

What I can see SlayerS isn't a member of the association as well, is there a reason why it is so?

You can read Jessica's response about it here http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=236783
Just search for association and you'll come upon the paragraph, it only really talks about boxer being involved in it though, and not why slayers as a whole is not participating.
i was driving down the road this november eve and spotted a hitchhiker walking down the street. i pulled over and saw that it was only a tree. i uprooted it and put it in my trunk. do trees like marshmallow peeps? cause that's all i have and will have.

Ouch TSL and Coach Lee are taking a beating lately.
I can't quite put my finger on how i feel about SC2PA yet but they did a good thing here. i think?
Its good that the players wishes are being backed up.
I also wonder if they will get their money?

Nope, this is coach lee. He was also a coach for MBCgame, but not head coach like mama bear.

That's papa bear, mama bear (Coach Lee) always seemed so nice to players in the TV series, didn't expect him to lash out on players like that.

It looks to me like the TSL will be, if not already, pushing up the daisys. All the drama with them lately has been ridiculous and this may be the final nail in the coffin.

Atleast players like Puma, FD and Tester are no longer with this poorly managed team, and I hiope those that are still signed to TSL are able to find safe homes soon.

Gee golly, so this is what all that Korean team "family" was about. /sarcasm

In all seriousness though, how does this effect their participation in tournaments? I was unaware of any kind of governing body over the teams there.

However, the SC2PA does not wish to cripple the competition in Korea and is not considering any sanctions regarding their participation in leagues.

It's in the OP.

No, I would assume not since they were sanctions put in place by the SC2PA. I'm not sure exactly what the SC2PA but I'm assuming it's a voluntary organisation with no real power.

So what were Fruitdealer and Tester doing to hurt the team image? They didn't really explain that, and only told them to take an introspective look at their actions. Was it just underperformance?

Probably underperformance - I imagine coach Lee withholding their salary because of lack of results.

Obviously, I don't understand everything about asian culture, but I really think TSL's management is starting to look rotten, also with the Puma-case in mind. Even though leaving your team is a very drastical thing to do in Korea, I can totally understand both FruitDealer, Tester and PuMa - If a guy promises to pay you, and even go public and puts numbers on these salaries and then just dosn't pay up, I would leave as well. This wouldn't just affect the players who were promised salary, but also the other players on the team live and talk to the affected players every day..

Even though he is regarded very highly in Korea, I think coach Lee is starting to look like a douche

It is interesting that this comes out after Mr Lee portrayed himself as some great victim in the EG/Puma drama. He portrayed himself as some great father figured that was taken advantage of by EG and Puma.

It was really obvious in the Puma/EG situation that the only reason it blew up is because Coach Lee was in over his head. The drama was the result of him whining. It was pretty obvious TSL wasn't in good shape after that fiasco. Doesn't look like it'll get better.

SC2con is something like the player's version of doing KeSPA's job. It's really about arbitration and keeping things above board. They list team rosters and all that fun jazz.

SlayerS is like a partner but not a member, I believe. Not sure why, as I don't read Korean, so hard to figure out.

I have a feeling many opinions will change about the EG issue after reading this. Coach Lee going from victim to criminal just like that. Thanks for sharing this find with us.

No, it wasn't underperformance, the two players supposedly didn't want to partake in team rebuilding and had negative attitude that was detrimental to the team atmosphere.

It's a separate issue though. I'm in no way saying Lee's actions were correct. Just trying to see things from his light. I'm quite sad that the past few drama incidents have really dropped TSL's reputation needlessly.

The issue however seems to be with FD and Trickster, who were not putting in their share of work (despite being the only two receiving nearly $1k a month in salaries). The other players like Clide, SangHo, etc, all still kept practiced hard and even returned their salaries when their team were in trouble.

I think Lee probably should have took the offer to negotiate with the players, but then again, he could still be a bit pissed at s2con's inaction over Puma's departure. It's just a very bad time for him and TSL.

Honestly I think what Coach Lee did is fair. Trickster/Fruitdealer don't practice? They don't get paid. Do you expect your boss to pay you if you don't show up for work either?
