When you say hellion, you mean raven right? I would also accept reaper

:O Blizzard sure is taking "wings of liberty" pretty seriously eh? Terran the only playable race lol

I think this is pretty cool. I forwarded this link to a couple of buddies of mine that I have had trouble convincing to take the plunge. Good idea!

There's also a WoW Starter Edition with a level cap of 20. I played for 3 days...

The bad thing with free multiplayer some maps, is...
cheating and hacking in custom melee games.
And also this starter edition can be hacked to get zergs/protoss as playable race. Or hacked for full campaign. Or for ladder games. Or for all melee maps.

Very cool, good idea by Blizzard.

Q. Which maps are available?
A. Currently, Starter Edition players have access to Xel'Naga Caverns, Shattered Temple, Discord IV, and High Orbit. StarJeweled will also be made available soon to Starter Edition players. It is possible that different maps will be cycled in and out of the available map list for Starter Edition players from time to time. Sounds suspiciosly like free heros in LoL/HoN :D

Really really good move by blizzard. Hopefully more people will stumble on to SC =D

It can't be hacked for ladder games or all maps in multiplayer -- battle.net server will recognize that this account is starter edition and will not allow the game to start. As for full campaign -- well, there is already a pirated version with full campaign, don't be naive (of course no achievements, since they are tracked on battle.net server)
Concern about hacking in custom games is valid, of course (but custom games with random people suck anyway)

So why can't I play in multiple regions yet?

So you can play all races, full campaign, have access to all the custom maps, the LADDER, etc.

Nice!!! This is a great news I think, I can get some of my friends who wants to try SC2 to play this and get them involved. So this only allow Europeans or players from other regions to play on EU server? I hope the US version comes out soon.

This is really handy..there's a few people that I could give this to so they can test the game out since they are on the fence!

So if I get the American version of this, will I be able to play multilayer with my friends from the states??

I guess theres no more use for guest passes, since the starter edition seems better than them
