DongRaeGu, been a fan ever since his first few matches in GSTL, the Code A qualifiers are brutal and he so deserves a spot in Code S, he's better than half the players in it.
Destiny, he's pretty active on a music site i frequent, and hes a really cool guy from all the posts ive seen AND he's really good. Ive seen so many people say he's not that good, but he beat Ace & Bomber and put up a good fight against, he's definitely at the level of the top players, he just needs to vary his style now and then.
Idra/MVP, Idra just because he gets so much hate, even though he's a really good player. He's been able to beat MMA who again, won the last MLG and went so far in the GSTL and GSL. MVP just because i'd rather see him do well and win than another foreigner since i'd rather see great games instead of just going strong and meh.
Runner up, Sheth, he's such a nice guy and a good player. He performed fine, not outstanding but good enough in the GSTL match he was in and i hope he does well.
To fail
Huk, he has an annoying personality, to me is overrated as a player although he has talent, and i've never particularly liked him. He was always boring to me.
ColCruncher, I hate him and he's not a great player.
Foreigners in general, except for the ones i hope to win. Destiny beat Bomber and Ace an online tourneys that they have to probably play at ridiculous hours. Ddoro Goody and Lovecd also beat Nestea in online tourneys...Destiny should beat a good player at a LAN before you call him at the level of a "top" player. while I agree I don't think the played at that bad of hours. I believe they played in the morning

I'm in hopes that he goes deep in the tournament so that I can get a good view of his take on the match ups and game right now.
Lose: -MC - Great player, but I really dislike the attitude that he shows trying to create controversy.
Can't really justify any other that I'd like to have a sub-par showing...<Bias>Maybe Protoss and Zerg? Go Terrans!!!</Bias> MC won't possibly lose this tournament, just look at the pool...
Just following OP...I don't want to see him do well. I give him the credit that he is do. He is a great player, but if I had to pick someone that I wouldn't want to see do well, it'd be MC.

I would CRY MY EYES OUT if Boxer won and got Code S. It would be so sweet.

hope to do well: Sheth- awesome guy and really great player!! Just parted ways with his team so i hope he does well this tournament to get a great contract with a new team!
Boxer- I can never not hope for him to do well ^_^! But really he is a great player i just hope he has been practicing!
Destiny- Although i was never a fan of Destiny (and i especially hated his fanboys), i have seen recently that he has been preforming really well and people don't give the credit he deserves. Also I really love his zvp style! :D
Hope to fail:
-All the Protoss players :p (especially Naniwa)
The Koreans- Mostly because i don't want a all top 3 Korean result.

Dogodders:
Drewbie Boxer Mvp
DoWorsers:
Idra Destiny Major
|
Win:
1) KawaiiRice - Huge fan! Beautiful terran! 2) Boxer - Nukes gogogo 3) White-Ra - http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=105748 uh huh!
Lose:
1) SixJax.Major - Split between being very impressed with his play and very disappointed with his douchebaggery. Please come back when you're easier to root for.
2) MVP - When my buddies said MVP was best terran in the world, I just couldn't help but think of the MVP on Woongjin. A mediocre, standard terran whose finest game was taking Flash lategame BCs on Matchpoint. I had this guy on my FPL when he was at his hottest. Very unimpressed by his lack of motivation to do well, please drop out early so we can see other games.
3) Destiny - If he wins, I'll have to face more infestor users on ladder. Don't wanna.
|
To Win:
1. Liquid Tyler - This guy is incredibly intelligent, I really want to see him shine in SC2 2. Boxer - The Emperor 3. Liquid Huk - top3 control
To Lose:
1. Major
|
I'm gonna do more than 3, because I know pretty much no one will really read this post anyway.
To do well:
Alicia. He's gonna smash the open bracket and I can see him doing well in pool play. I feel like he's strong enough to win the tournament, so I'm surprised to see him get very little attention in this thread so far.
Destiny. I just want to see him make it out of the open bracket. I don't care if he gets seeded into pool play, as long as he at least makes it to the championship loser's bracket I'll be happy.
Major. Everyone hates him, but he still plays really well, so I'll be rooting for him.
Qxc. I wanna see his training in korea pay off, he was in great shape against IM and I hope he uses some of that momentum to to do well at Anaheim.
Megumixbear. Would like to see a girl do well in SC2.
To Fail:
Everyone from EG. Incontrol is a tool, IdrA is a negative nancy, and everyone else on the team is mediocre.
Everyone from CoL. Another bunch of really mediocre players.
Everyone from Liquid. They're good, but way overrated. The only member from the team who even remotely lives up to the hype around him is HuK, but that wasn't even until he won Dreamhack and Homestory Cup.
Boxer. This guy is so far past his glory days it's not even funny. He's the SC2 equivalent of a modern day backstreet boy. Get over him already.
|
To Win
1. Destiny, because he has cool builds 2. Idra, because the more titles he wins the funnier it is to hear him say Zerg can't win 3. DRG, because I want to see him in the individual leagues. MMA would be my fourth choice.
To Lose
1. Tiberious Von Asshat, because of his BM 2. Snidely Whiplash, because he stream-cheats 3. Deezer. Obviously
|
Deezer is not going to MLG lol

If destiny uses an overpool in a match, people make a thread titled "destiny's 11pool 18hatch". And it is disgusting how he manages to make only infestors and succede, even as a zerg player. It feels like I, as well as many a player better than me, take steps to break down a match-up, hard work to descipher what is best and what isn't, and destiny just steps in and says "INFESTORS!" it feels like he is the new cruncher, making the race look easy and begging for a nerf. I really hope infested terrans get removed soon so you can't take down a freeking planatary with a support caster
So you dislike Destiny because he figured out something you didn't?
Haters gonna hate I guess, but that seems a little over the top doesn't it?

To do less well: Major Destiny

I fixed it for you

lmao you think destiny is greater than spanishiwa? guess we'll just have to wait and see who has the last lulz

I really want MVP to win. It was amazing hearing/seeing him destroy these two tournament in January 2011, probably the peak of his career where everyone knew he was the best Terran in the world (and probably the best player at THAT TIME).
But even if he doesn't, Boxer for Code A or Code S would make my day
[Gainward SC2 tournament (January)] 2-0 Yugioh -> 2-0 TheStC -> 2-0 NaDa -> 3-1 MarineKing -> 3-0 NesTea (finals)
[January Code S] 3-0 in Group (Zenio, JookToJung, FruitDealer) 3-0 in 2nd Group (Choya, TheBest, Hyperdub) 3-0 Tester 3-1 NesTea 4-0 MarineKing (finals)
