Succeed:
Boxer - Would love to see Boxer catch his first SC2 break in a foreign tournament where he'll get the praise he deserves given his long career. Destiny - Been a long time stream viewer and am glad to see his sudden pickup in success. Would love to see him make a big run on MLG. Idra - Long time fan and supporter, every MLG there's always something awesome happening to Idra
To fail:
Slush Machine Ret
Particularly Ret and Machine to me have been riding their BW fame for too long, and I'd like to see their spots filled with more exciting people.
|
To do well:
DonRaeGu: Deserves a code S spot. MMA: Same as above. Naniwa: I really like his playstyle, and would love for him to do well. Definetly the guy I'm rooting for.
Not going to pick the ones I want to lose. Would hate to see a player with too much fanboys win, but if they do well and manage to legitimately(ie not cheese) beat Koreans and top foreigners, they probably deserve the credit they've been given
|
To do well: HuK - This guy practices and works his ass off and its starting to show. I'd love to see him shut all the haters up once again.
Boxer - I really hope he does well...I think he needs some momentum.
Naniwa? - Kinda in the air about it. I am still a bit hung up on all his past BM and team swapping. I like his safe style though and seems to have straightened out a bit.
To do bad: Idra - I really dislike his attitude even though it makes for some entertaining drama. He seems to have really been slacking in his practice and don't think he deserves to win.
Major - Self explanatory
Don't really have a third.
|
WIN: DRG, BoxeR, Naniwa - The winner gets a Code-S spot. Of all players at MLG, these are the 3 I want to see in Code-S the most. At the end of the day, I'm more interested in the GSL seedings than who wins money, since that has a longer lasting effect. (in an ideal world, I'd love to see BoxeR beating a foreigner in the finals- for a best of both worlds thing)
LOSE Major - People, imo, need to act a certain way to deserve being rooted against. Major's a prime example of that. TLO - I absolutely love TLO, but given his wrist problems it seems a waste to me that he is still seeded when there are some absolutely amazing players fighting in the open bracket. If TLO were able to play at his best, he'd be my #1 vote to win. Moonan - Nothing against Moonan specifically, I'm just not a huge fan of his play and like with TLO, would rather see someone different seeded

vile.Spanishiwa: How should I best explain this? You have players like tgun and Gatored, who are capable of competing at a very high level, but I'm not under some illusion that they're so good that they can go and beat MC or anything. Spanishiwa is one of those very, very few players I would actually say is overrated. Wait, wait. Don't get me wrong, he's good. He's damn good. He's beaten some great players such as TLO, but there's one thing I really hate, you see, and that is fanboys.
You are the biggest hypocrit I know. The only people that think Destiny will succeed are his fanboys.
|
- Kiwikaki: He gets his own category. I'd like him to do well, but I'm such a ridiculously obsessed fanboy that he can do the happy probe dance for the first 10 minutes of the game and I'll be thrilled.
Seriously though, I hope he does well. MLG is the circuit that Kiwi has done well in since the start and I know he was disappointed with last MLG, so crossing fingers for him.

To succeed:
Anyone who has put in the hard work and has the skills of course!! Particularly I will be rooting for: Sixjax Major (because he has had his share of hate and I think his actions have been misguided but I have hope that he can mature enough so that he doesn't make silly mistakes that harm his image) IMMvp (want to see a KR terran do well, and it might as well be this guy!) One of the KR's in the open bracket - it's great when someone powers through the open bracket... makes so much drama
I don't really want anyone to fail. I do however love me a bit of IdrA drama... so it's a bit mean, but here's hoping for some good BM and premature GGs lol.

His point is that he doesn't like how the community is dividing it's attention and 'respect'. Players like Spanish get a lot of attention while the better players do not.

He's so modest. He's also the first person to admit that he's not the same standard as top pros. He never claims anything else. So I really don't like that people want him to fail. It's very mean to want that just because he has a lot of fans. And by the way... part of the reason that he has fans is because he is so modest.

TYLER AND EMPEROR HWAITING!

I'm rooting for qxc and Socke, hope they both tear things up. That said I hope everyone else fails, ofc.

I hope everyone plays well so we can get epic games all weekend long.

He has been practicing recently, training for this tournament. If he places well, the of course he deserves to be in the Champion pool.

To Win:
- Socke - He has just always been my favourite Protoss player. Maybe it's the hair.
- Select - ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
- Major - Sometimes he's an impressive player. Figured I'd go against the grain
 Also: qxc, DeMusliM
To Lose: (I don't really wish loss on anybody so I'll just say 3 "good"/"well known" players.)- DongRaeGu/MVP - I think all of the Korean players attending MLG Anaheim are very powerful, but I hope they are knocked out before they do too much damage.
- Tyler - Because I really don't give a shit which players I pick to lose, I pick Tyler.
- Huk- An amazing player with great results, but knocks out my favourites too often >:[

I definitely want either White-Ra or Destiny to win. White-Ra, as it's been mentioned, is one of the genuinely nicest people in esports, and has insane talent .
Destiny though would be a great story (not to mention he's one of my favorite players right now). It would be really great to see an improvement story like his reach a tournament victory.
And there's no player I particularly want to lose, I would just rather not have another Korean winner. I know that on the perfect day, there are foreigners who can go toe-to-toe with them, and I want to see that happen in Anaheim
|
win: mvp, idra, naniwa, huk, alicia, mma, etc. because these guys are genuinely good players and that they don't make stupid mistakes (often at least).
also add the entirety of FXO to the win list since I love the dedication and initiative these guys took to practice in korea.
fail: incontrol, machine, tlo, tyler, catz etc hope these guys get eliminated asap since i don't want to watch their bad play stinking up the streams.

WHITERA TO WIN
hopes to succeed: TLO MMA BoxeR
Hopes to fail: IdrA

I want Boxer to win. It's highly unlikely to happen but what I learned is that in SC2 epic (and unexpected) things can happen.
