your a little racist don't you think? shit like this makes me embarrassed when Koreans come to our site and have to read shit like that.... degrading an efficient way of training. I bet in "real" sweat shops they dont even have beds to sleep on, nor food to eat.. ignorant.

Dude, I don't call it a sweatshop because I hate the people, or because that's the "norm" in Korea. I call it a sweatshop because, from what I've seen in the Artosis tours, these progaming houses are freaking gaming SWEATSHOPS. These guys train 12 hours a day in tight conditions, sleeping on single-mattress bunk beds like a bunch of children. Sure, guys like MC and Nestea are VERY well-compensated for their time, but imagine being one of the sub-Code-A players just trying to make a name for himself, and making next to no money for the extreme devotions of time and effort made toward the game. Some of these kids are like 14 and 15 years old, "working" 12 hour days in confined spaces for little to no pay. That's a sweatshop dude!

Now the obvious counter-argument is that these kids are all chasing their dreams, trying to live out the "glamourous" life of a progamer, touring around from tournament to tournament and raking in big cheques. Ok, cool, if that's their perogative and goal in life, then they should go for it! More power to them. But you can't sit around in the comfort of your home and fault a guy like Sheth for not wanting any part of that. I love SC2, and I sure as hell wouldn't want any part of that! Sheth clearly enjoys eating his mom's home cooking, relaxing on the couch, and making a modest living playing SC2. Just because he doesn't want to live his life in a pro-house doesn't give you or anyone else the right to judge, let alone insult, him.

They are doing it out of passion, out of love for the game, not because they were forced into it, or because their family desperately needs money. They are doing it for themselves, they accepted these harsh conditions to pursue their dream.

Just throwing this out there, but I think his actions will really put off any prospective teams with interest in him. He clearly couldn't commit, which is fine - its his life. But it sets a dangerous precedent for other teams and sponsors, they never know when he could decide he wants to go see his mum and dad again.

Totally agree , i think other teams will be really hesistant to take him on.

People keep saying Reign, but they should really go back and read reign's mission statement. Within the next few months they plan on setting up a pro house in san fran i beleive and implementing the korean practice model with the help of pheonix. I see no reason for them to want to have anything to do with sheth.

Maybe a 2nd tier team will pick him up.

guess you didn't watch GSTL last night, huh?

Anyways, it sucks that Sheth is leaving FXO but he was their captain afterall. Huge respect to Sheth for being such a standout player. With that said, FXO will be fine. Anyone who watched GSTL last night can vouch for that. FXO will move on and keep improving and sign players when needed to be competitive. FXO FIGHTING!

We're not judging him as a person, we're judging him as a progamer you moron.
You just sat there and for two paragraphs spoke about the comfort of home, playing in pajamas, making a modest living.

You're describing each and every fan that posts on team liquid. Forgive us for not being a fan of ourselves. We're a fan of people who put in the effort and work. Yeah it's work. That's why it's called a career. You put in work, and hopefully it pays off. People are faulting Sheth for not putting in the work. He clearly has the talent, but no work ethic

People with talent and no work ethic are amongst the most hated individuals on earth. Imagine being handed something, and throwing it away, while other people have to work to get the gifts you were pretty much born with? Haven't you ever seen Good Will Hunting?
Playoffs? You're talking about playoffs?

I half expected this when Seth didnt want to head back to Korea. I think FXO is moving to be a gaming powerhouse and will start to expect players to live pretty hectic travel schedules.

Its good because it means e-sports is becoming alot more globalized

EG should replace Strifecro with him, or Reign pick him up if he is willing to try a training house environment in Usa, he's already an old teamate of Kiwikaki it would be nice.

I never put it below 20 thank u!

Ah, now the truth comes out. Sheth is joining a super-secret military program to extract his ability to grant the Flu to other people. Sheth is actually a super villain in disguise!

Sounds quite right, altho' I wouldn't be surprised if he aimed a bit higher (as in major sponsored old-time favored teams)

sheth is one of my favorites and a tremendous player. I think with his attitude and community likeableness he would make a good fit on LIquid. Liquid`Sheth, get it done! GL SHETH <3 you.

I really hope he doesn't join liquid.

TL is fine as it is. It would be good if they had some korean players but besides that no more non-koreans.

Sorry but I just can't support Sheth, he can't make the necessary sacrifices (moving to Korea and living in a structured environment) and he just goes back to America to be a top foreigner player.

Thats why I like people like HuK and Naniwa very much.
