But I fail to see the point of approaching the management, when do you ever do that when your making an offer to someone working for another company?

The fact that so many great players (like DRG) are Code B sorta proves that the current system for entrance is flawed. It's SOOO HARD to get into Code A, and even in Code A you don't really get much of anything except for a shot at Code S. There's more money to be made in the foreign scene, rather from smaller tournaments or streaming or coaching or what-have-you.

Puma didn't break the contract, TSL broke the contract because they're pissed he isn't re-signing. Sour grapes. So... his "I'm pretty sure they released him because he wanted to be released" is a speculation, but your "...that they would rather publicly embarrass him than let him play out his deal is low class..." is a fact? Not exactly a verified information, is it?

The relationship between a progamer and his coach is not the same relationship between a employee and a employer. The more fair comparison is the relationship between a celerity and his manager. And in celerity world if you take some celerity without talking to his manager, it's considered stealing, not legally, but ethically. Besides, progamer culture is different, they live in the same house as the coach, the team feeds them and takes care of them, when they go to foreign events the manager goes with them to take care of everything else other than gaming. And if some other guy approached player without contacting the coach/manager. That's pretty unethical.

I get job offers by other companies every now and then, I talk to them about what they offer and when I find something I prefer to my current work situation (be it better pay, better work environment or what have you) I go tell my current boss that I have gotten a better offer and I resign my position. According to basic Swedish employee law (which is in my contract) I have to stay on for 3 month after quitting (to give my employee a chance to find a replacement) BUT we can negotiate this time down to 0 days if both parts agree. It seems like this was exactly what happened in the Puma-EG case and I don't see anything wrong with it, at all. If TSL wanted to hold Puma to his contract, they could probably have and EG would have had to wait until it expired. They chose not to, in agreement with Puma. Case closed. Read this and stop bitchin y'all. I can't for the life of me understand why anyone would make a big deal out of this at all.

This gives me the impression the salary EG is offering to Puma has a huge impact that caused him to make such a radically decision. This also gives me the impression Puma is more interested in money rather than improving (this is just my opinion).

People get job offers all the time without their bosses or coaches first getting to know about it. I dont understand the fuss. But unfortunately this is bad for Puma as a player. Look at his practice partners in EG compared to TSL. Besides Idra, which imo isnt at the level of many of the current GSL players, there is nobody nameworthy.

I don't respect the rest of my teammates or any of the bonds I share enough to actually tell you of their offer before I made the decision on my own." Yeah I can't believe a player of his caliber would want to travel to a place with more tournaments, more stability and more money. Hell, maybe as a child PuMa wanted to come to the United States and travel around. He just won a tournament and likes what EG has to offer, god forbid.
