The most prominent was when rekrul pretty much broke the match fixing scandal, and then when at least one player was falsely accused. The entire list was translated, and both the korean and foreign communities had to deal with the consequences of the false accusation. Yeah but what happens on TL is much less damaging to a Korean team than a foreign team. Again, not saying the current system is wrong or flawed, but it's an interesting point.

Fuck off. i felt generally the same way. really disappointing as a first time listener to weapon of choice. so weird how djWheat seems to run his other show so much better, but this was a total facepalm/trainwreck show to me.

Also it wasn't fair put Milkis against such a dick lawsuit, and that works (or not) in EG's favor. So bad

He started asking for EG's side well after this whole controversy started up. He translated what ThisIsGame and PlayXP posted... he didn't get Lee's statements. Waxangel/TL was the one who posted the translation of Lee's statements.

You say why should we contact EG, we are volunteers etc. etc. Well actually thats a part of western culture you seem to be ignoring fairly comfortably. It's considered very very rude for any newspaper to simply post one side of a story without giving the other side a chance to comment (even if that answer is often only a "no comment at this time"). And yes that is also an unwritten law for volunteers. Maybe you should consider THAT next time you stress that "we" need to pay attention to Korean culture. Maybe we do, and maybe we don't, but if we need to, than certainly so do you. If you translate a post to some extent it becomes yours, unless you clearly state that you have no opinion you just translated it. Closing note: If the Korean teams want to keep their players the answer is quite simple. Make them happy and pay them well. If they don't they WILL be poached as soon as they are not protected by contracts and no amount of crying that that isn't fair will protect them from it. But he didn't post anything inflammatory except on his twitter, and that's just his personal twitter that doesn't have any backing biases other than his own personal feelings. All he posted on TL was a translated article, and a response from the TSL coach because he doesn't read TL / have an account (as milkis said.) I don't see any personal thoughts or opinions in the OP, just his twitter, which again is totally seperate from this.

There's other ways to contact people than through public personal twitter accounts. Milkis made no attempt to contact anyone in private. He didn't need to, he's a translator. What he does is take articles off DES / thisisgame / etc that might interest the foreign non-korean reading population, and translates them. He's also very much appreciated for doing just that (at least in the bw section). EG is in charge of their own PR.
