Especially since GSL is actually accommodating for foreign events in their schedule. Fly away for a weekend on EG's dime and go win some cash. I mean, if Puma gets to go to every MLG he'll wrack up money, with the potential of always getting a code S spot from winning it.

I had a feeling that the reason FruitDealer and Tester + Rain left isn't simple as I read from official news.

I think that now the risk of - flying your best player to (possibly) win a tourny and risk losing the player, and never playing for their team(winning tourneys) for them in korea - wil be too high ! If you think that will stop international teams from grabbing players, instead of increasing the pay rate that their players deserve, then you're being silly. We aren't blocked off from communicating with Koreans.

By the way, an interesting point of comparison is with Korea's K-Pop industry. I'm not sure we want that in eSports.

Also you don't know if they're paying him or not...some Koreans aren't paid but top ones like Puma are. I don't know for sure he was being paid but I'd be extremely surprised if he wasn't.

Fucking hell. Firstly, this is horrible press for foreign teams. Absolutely shitty. Secondly, going behind management? Dodgy at best. Thirdly, Puma, I know money is great, but you just got 50k USD, and at the very least you could, y'know, wait until your contract expired? Goddammit, what the hell is wrong with having a little professionalism in SC2?
