ESPORTS ethics =/
From what I remember about that situation is was more the players of coL approaching EG because they didn't want to wait for coL to rebuild from the ground up. I could be wrong though but I remember it being something like that.

EG: Hey, uh..., do you mind if we recruit Puma? TSL: Yes, don't do it. EG: Hmm, actually there's no reason we need your permission. See ya.
The only reasonable message that EG could send is: Hi TSL, we think Puma is a great player and plan to give him an offer. Cheers.
Which basically amounts to nothing at all. thats retarded, of course that would amount to something. if the coach had gotten the a message like that before the deal was done then he wouldve talked to puma and discussed it with him, ask him what he wants and what hes unhappy with and etc.
Im sure TSL was unable to match EG's offer... other wise Puma wouldnt have left...

What the...?! For real?!
This is... insanely news. Wow, gratz to PuMa and EG! Keep on rockin'! (I'm sure now you will anyways)

Liquid should poach a Korean player as well.

He's under no obligation to remain with TSL after his contract expires. THIS. The only other situation i can see is that puma went to the coach and said "i want to go to EG", and even though he was still under contract, the coach allowed him to go and released him from his contract. I don't see anything shady about this. Its up to the player. Nothing was stolen. Players are not some kind of currency, its up to them what team they want to play on. Well considering it is worded as "released" then it seems as if TSL has terminated the contract with him to allow him to go to EG.
EG was smart. They just got a hell of a player and that means we will see more Puma, which I am very happy about, especially since he still needs to qualify for Code A.
I think there is something going on with TSL. First FruitDealer and Trickster leave and now Puma does. And all in a relatively short amount of time. That seems odd to me.

That sure is what it looks like, clearly the majority of the players are unhappy enough to be accepting outside offers.

did we even read the same article? wtf? they released him from his contract because he wanted to go. how is this "treating him like they own him?"

I had this feeling when Cristiano Ronaldo wanted to hang out with Real Madrid while playing for MU. Oh well money....

Wow, wow, wow! Really surprised by this. Curious to see if Puma's form will go down or up now after this exchange

Going to wait for a response from EG before I make any judgments but this seems like pretty bad practice based on the statements from TSL's end. Hope for more information soon.

Its the managers/coach who pay for the plane ticket so ultimately decide who is going or not. I think that now the risk of - flying your best player to (possibly) win a tourny and risk losing the player, and never playing for their team(winning tourneys) for them in korea - wil be too high !

TSL's B and C team > machine and incontrol. I hope puma can still play in korea. Watching such a young talent go to waste will be saddening.

Seriously people are overreacting and should be happy, but ofc people will always try to make EG look like the bad guys, if it is what Puma wanted, than why would you question it?
edit: the post above me is pretty disgusting, can't you have any faith that foreigners can adopt a korean-like training ethic, EG making a team house is one step closer to that.

If Puma goes and joins rest of the EG people in the EG team house, he won't get any better at all.
Let's face it, Incontrol, machine etc. who else you have there. are shit compared to koreans. (Idra being the only exception, not sure recently tho...) Exactly. People, for some strange reason, overlook the fact that what makes these Koreans good isn't because they're Korean, but the environment that they live in. Take that away, and in half a year, Puma will just be another Select. Yeah, IdrA has even said that the practice isn't as good in America than it was in Korea, even though he was getting limited "team house" settings...and even if Puma stays in Korea, practicing on ladder/whatever practice partners will play with him online isn't the same as living in a teamhouse...probably makes sense money wise with foreign tourneys but not really as much skillwise.

Puma to EG?Whoa,now that's nice.
Would be huge to have such a good korean in a foreign team.

He will never reach his full potential without a team house full of other great players that he can talk to (in Korean). None of EG can come close to the skill of his TSL practice partners and they can't even discuss the games.
He doesn't need a foreign team to do well in foreign tournaments either. Regardless of what team he's on he's going to be living in Korea, all EG is doing is paying for the trip.
