After all that PR bullshit by EG.Alex on ItG insisting that they were not being underhanded, they go and pull this sort of bullshit? Man, I'm at a loss for words. I mean the whole EG vs TL nonsense with the EGMC was one thing - whatever. Then the pulling Geoff from SotG to establish a competing show - ok sponsorship nonsense, again whatever. Now they're trying to steal players away from other teams, especially given the recent SK/Fnatic player drama... that's just inexcusable. I like some of the EG players, but I'm sorry I can't simply can't support this sort of thing. It's this sort of thing that hurts e-sports more than a million Jen Schillers.

Wow. This is huge news as well. A lot has been coming out lately. Congrats to EG. I do not know the details of these talks where they are claiming that they circumvented management, but if that is so, it is a bit uncouth, but the fact is that unless there is a set standard for players with rules like in a sport such as baseball or football, then players can talk to whomever they want and teams can approach players. While that may be frowned upon, it is a dog eat dog world and right now talent is highly sought after.
It is too bad for TSL, but seeing EG.Puma will be awesome.

Damn EG ! Why you gotta do things the rude way ? You could have recruited the player etc etc ... but done it the proper and respectful way !

Good luck for ALL the EG team (players/manager/etc) because .. NO TEAM, korean or other, will EVER let anyone from EG ... EVER talk/mingle with them !
...... And sirscoots may get beat up by Lee

well you can't really blame Puma, he probably wasnt getting a salary in TSL. I dont think any korean SC2 progamer had one besides Tester and FD. On top of that he hasn't even made it to the GSL so who knows how long it will take for him to work up to code S. By joining EG he will be able to compete in alot more tournaments with a great chance of winning many of them and he gets a salary. Smart move by Puma, even tho I feel really bad for TSL.

so.. I was thinking... wasn't FXOz on fOu? .... so could TSL become a part of EG?
*pure speculation*. that would be sick. Then coL buys IM. >:D

As far as I can tell, EG did absolutely nothing wrong here.

Tampering is forbidden in pretty much every professional sport. If the goal is to have SC2 taken seriously as an "e-sport," why should tampering not be frowned upon?

white people, realizing that they can't actually beat koreans, are instead going to buy all of them

Hmmm, whilst there is nothing legally wrong with what has happened. I think e-sports needs to get some standards.

You should be talking to management about players on contracts not players. Eventually people are going to start legal fights over this kind of stuff, and then the whole industry is going to look like shit.

GL to puma and EG. I just hope the players association in Korea doesn't react too harshly to puma.

Keep in mind, that Korea has Broodwar, AND sc2. We have only sc2 ;o

Also people saying the only good player on EG is IdrA are wrong, Demuslim is hands down one of the sickest terrans outside korea, probably the best in my opinion, seriously when he streams again check it out, the guys is ridiculous and takes macro games from IdrA, love both of them and Puma will make a great addition to EG, seeing as they're suddenly very zerg heavy and Terran light with LZ switching to zerg.

i would personally be really happy if Puma went to EG. good for him TSL was falling apart anyways

Did you see SangHo in the team league?

Yeah TSL is doing amazingly well in team league, I expected them to "fall apart" as well but they seem to have only improved. Losing Puma, who unlike FD isn't mediocre (imo), is shitty for sure tho

Woah...does that mean Puma is going to be living with them at the EG house in Arizona? It doesn't look like TSL is happy, so I wonder where Puma would stay and practice if he stayed in Korea.

Looks guys sometimes EG needs another member to carry its team besides Idra and if they have the money they should buy the best players they can

Why the hell would he go to a team like EG and ruin his whole career? It doesn't make any sense.

How does this ruin his whole career? He will do great in foreign tournaments and EG players get a good salary afaik

His practice partners will suck ass?

Why are you so anti-EG? PumA is already good and EG has decent players.

EG is good? How come? The only guy that is getting results is Idra. Demuslim, Incotrol, Machine, Axslav are average right now at MAXIMUM.

Just because they dont do well in tournaments doesnt mean they're BAD. Demuslim and Axslav are pretty good.

If you consider axslav good I can't imagine what kind of players you consider bad.

TSL's fault for not having a buy-out clause.

Barca would have Fabregas by now too.

They most likely have!

But a contract also has an option for a player to simply drop out of the contract, only having to pay a relatively smaller penalty-fee.. Go talk to a player, ask him to drop out of contract with their current team and possibly paying the penalty-fee and then sign the player is a douchebag move.. The transfer sum is much more than that penalty-fee.. Most likely only to give back sponsor hardware, etc.

And what about TSL_Alive? Alive is a Boss terran. Tier 2 Korean terran for sure. Revival is also a solid zerg, a tier 2 Korean zerg as well.
