I think you are the only person in the entire world that thinks "TheScvLife" is a good name.

My question is if the korean FXO players wanted to go to foreign tournements ie dreamhack MLG
will you send all of the ones who want to participate? Or will it be like an internal ranking system where the top 3 will be allowed to go?
Great buy nonetheless! FXO doing big things for SC2!

As said multiple times in the thread the Latency from Malaysia to other servers is much better than Korea. so the KR house can be GSL/GSTL focused and Malaysia house foreign event focused.

There will be internal rankings with top X being sent to major events

That's hardly a good enough reason...

What? Having one house so you can easily participate in Korea and another so you can easily participate abroad isn't a good reason?

Everything Korea offers, versus:
better latency.

Realllly sick to see this. I'm impatient and would love to fast-forward time to see exactly what FXO has planned for Malaysia -- it seems like a fairly long-term plan of grand proportions -- but I guess we'll all just have to wait and see. It'd be great to see FXO foreigners regularly making trips to Korea before any big Malaysian tournament takes-over the industry, though Like a BoSs.

There is NOTHING in Malaysia that doesn't get the benefit from Korea other than physically being there for GSL/GSTL which we are more than happy to accommodate our players to travel between the houses for this. so yes. this is more than enough of a good reason.
there is no lag Malaysia to KR server, they are in constant communication between the players for practice so "everything Korea offers" is already available

There's a thread about it where FXOBoss replies to everything you are asking. I suggest going searching for it. This is about fOu and FXO not the Malaysia house.

I hope FXO comes out with some nice looking Jackets/ jerseys soon the FXO ones arent going to cut it for the korean team IMO
I hope its something they are looking into.
Not that i dont like the current fxo jerseys, but right now most teams in the GSL have multiple jerseys jackets , even pants sometimes. So i hope its something FXO is considering.
what? really? how is fashion in any way shape or form an important part or aspect of anything in the esports scene ??? why should anyone care about fashion?
as far as im concered, fashion means zero to me.... they could all play naked for all i care
and if fashion is important to you, thank god its the 100% easiest thing to fix. all they need to do is design something that "people find fashionable" and it will be fixed.... i guess??
fashion is really all about opinion anyway

I love it. This is going to help everyone involved big-time, the only downside is the fOu tag was so awesome. FXOLeenock, FXOtheBest and FXOsC just isn't the same.

You may not realize this if you haven't lived outside the United States before but in a country like Malaysia $1 goes a lot farther. You can feed, clothe, house, etc. an entire team comfortably at a standard only the most elite in the U.S. know for a fraction of the cost. I've been in countries where I've had $20 last me days and I'm not talking about going without. It's a business decision obviously and you guys should just trust that FXOpen doesn't need business advice from TL...

This is phenomenal news for both FXO and fOu. This could be the first step to seeing a more prominent foreign force in the GSL / GSTL.
|
great news for FXO fans :D congratulations!
|
Wow, awesome news. Congrats FXOpen on the acquisition.
|
So much money..
Well good for both I suppose. fOu has some niceeeee players. Still going to go for you Leenock!
Ps. Curious - what happens to the users who voted for fOu in fantasy?
Cynically.. + Show Spoiler +..anyone else feel FXO did this to stay in the GSTL?

Oh well, congrats it's just a subliminal message that their foreigner team is bad Idiot, I don't think this is what it means at all. They've shown commitment to their non-KR team. Putting them in Korea, getting them first hand experience what it takes, setting up a team house. Now they have a KR team and that improves their talent pool, gives them access to top class practice partners and they are in on any of the meta game shifts right away.
They only do that because FXOBoss has so much money to blow away and it makes a good name for FXO as a sponsor, please have insight into this a little bit more, thankyou.

This is incredible, FXO are really becomming a true powerhouse in E-sports.
Best of luck to everyone involved.
FXO hwaiting!
