FXO is now poised as a company that can act as a conduit through which western advertising dollars can flow into the Korean scene. FXO have proved themselves to some very big name sponsors in their professionalism and ability to put together an excellent product (the aforementioned KoTHs, Invitationals). Erm... SlayerS is pretty different though, they are a large team of players who were picked up with no hype around them, and then built up by the team itself.
This seems more like "If you can't beat them, buy them".

I had just written a huge reply to this. Not because of your post in particular, but because of a bunch of other naive posts before it. I then deleted my post, because I shouldn't expect sc2 viewers to understand business.. That is wrong of me.
As for GSTL, the season will be played out as is. With neither fOu or FXO making playoffs, there is little/noeffect.
In future GSTL's. The internal rankings will depend on whos on the team. As well as a few individual decisions.
I would expect to see some original FXO on the bench during the season.

Like in business, hire someone and someone will get fired. Does this mean FXO will drop some of their players to make room for fOu's lineup. I'm guessing FXO isn't stupid to manage/fund 3 sc2 division and fOu w/o dropping someone.

fOu can still make the playoffs. They need to win their last two and probably win at least one of them with a 4-1/4-0 score, but they still have a shot. They already played HoSeo and IM; they have a shot against ZeNex and ST.

I don't really see how telling me I wouldn't understand gets you anywhere, wouldn't it be more worthwhile to at least attempt to make the post and then move along if I'm still ignorant to the "business" of it. I prefer to see teams pick up players with potential and build them up as opposed to falling into what to the outside, appears to be "If you can't beat them, buy them". This is part of why I don't like the Yankees, sure you can say it's good business and you'll gain fans with your success, the Yankees have plenty of them, but I simply won't be one of them with the current knowledge I have of the situation.
Telling me I won't understand business won't do anything but insult my intelligence and put me off further, quite simply, it may be good business to simply buy whomever is talented but in my opinion, it doesn't make for good sport.

Why does everyone always attack FXO? They haven't done anything bad for e-sports so far, only good. They are the perfect role model for a corporate sponsor. Giving players salaries, comfortable living, and providing them with all of their needs so they can focus on the on important thing. The game! This is awesome fOu and I am sure their new backing from FXO will make them better then ever.

I already have a team of potential, and I acquired another team of potential.. What more do you want man? If I wanted to buy a team to be the yankees , I would have bought slayers.... Its pretty simple.
Or better yet, I would have bought, naniwa, huk, mma, drg, nestea, losira, scfOu, and made a 'super team'... There is NOTHING in common between the yankees and FXO... At all..
You are just digging at something that doesn't exist. If you don't want to be a fan thats your choice. But I am kinda tired of being attacked for no reason for good decisions that are attempts at me to grow an industry. Honestly what have I done that has indicated that I am just going around buying publicity?
