To all the people who said MYM hasn't been doing anything hasn't seen SaSe be consistent 2nd best Protoss in Europe 3rd-4th no way sir Do you think he's better than Naniwa, Socke, and White-Ra? never hes not even top 5 imo but back to the topic: its just sad that one of the best bw-foreigners has some other (understandable)priorities in his life.... LiquidMondragon would be a DREAM tho and so epic but wont happen anyway http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/The_Road_to_KoreaSase has been improving a lot lately. In group stages of dreamhack he went 10-1 in his group (which included Idra & Kas). Losing to Sen's beastly ZvP in the playoffs made him not stand out as much as the others, so he kinda went under the radar. I'd definitely say he's top 3 European protoss right now, though. Socke is good but in terms of recent results he hasn't defeated any stars (though he's done really well with second at ETS). White-ra's much the same - he just hasn't been seen in many events recently. After their return from Korea, I wouldn't be surprised to see Sase & Naniwa fighting it out for #1 in Europe regularly (overall, not just as protoss).
Sase will also be playing at Gamescon in a few weeks. Think is good time for him to shine.

Ugh, became a fan of MYM and their unbeatable DotA team. They don't have the shiny names playing SCII but some solid players. Sad to see Mondragon leave but not too surprised.

hehe no whire,ra,socke.naniwa, hasu and mana are better than him.if you dont believe it its ok. (hasu just won the esl tournament in spain (thorzain, socke, lucifron) and dont forget the close 1-2 against mc..TSL. etc. but of course all you guys forget everything and just the LAST thing counts and will be remembered at most.as always.thats how the brain works. id say he comes VERY close to the top 5 but he still have to prove it. and of course he improved a lot with even more laddergames than kas thinking in the long run is the way to think about Top-lists. Im too familiar with the european scene if sase will reach a final of a bigger tournament THEN i could eventually change my opinion "sase and DH".1 thing and voila hes in your toplist?oh dear. as i said i will wait for IEM cologne and korea sase in an established top 3/5list in the future? of course... why not. but we still live in the presence. im wishing him all the best

Sase will become a monster, just you wait.

That's not true. While MYM wasn't as successful with their players as other teams, they were not inactive, not even during the beta, as SK was.
I think much of it is due to their players not being involved in winning tournaments as much, because they did what SK didn't do: picking up players who hadn't established themselves in SC2 yet (SaSe, ParanOid, XlorD, Mondragon and the two new ones I didn't even know about). But they did have Artosis, GARIMTO and ClouD since very early on. I think they had DeMusliM and NaNiWa too at one point, but I don't remember well at all lol.
Furthermore SaSe and XlorD are highly successful, just not in big stage tournaments, with SaSe even winning the Rakaka.se road to Korea and heading over there, and Mondragon making a good showing in the TSL despite losing to CrunCher, which wasn't a freewin for CrunCher either.
They're not up there yet and arguably could have done better, or at least have had more luck with their players. But Mondragon as well as XlorD weren't focusing on gaming in the beginning at all, for example.

I can never get over ToT) My old economics notes even have ToT) written instead of TOT for Terms of Trade; ya just can't change that much to be part of mYm forever.

I'm guessing that so many people underestimate Sase because he did not have a good ending at Dreamhack?Where he got absolutely ripped apart by Sen.

Sase is probably top 3 PvP in Europe, but definitely not top 3 protoss as long as he doesn't have better results.
At Dreamhack Socke managed to place first in a much harder group (BratOK, Morrow, Ret, Dimaga, Nightend and DieStar compared to Idra, Kas, Naama, Grubby, Merz) and he lost to Huk who won the tournament. White-Ra lost to the second place finisher. HasuObs advanced in a group with JulyZerg, Thorzain, Sjow and Machine and lost to Bomber, who defeated all protoss players he faced (MC, Mana, HasuObs).
Homestory Cup: Sase (lost to XlorD in the WB and Thorzain in the LB) Socke (lost to Idra in the WB and White-Ra in the LB) White-Ra (lost to Adelscott in the WB and Stephano in the LB) HasuObs (lost to Thorzain in the group and didn't advance out of his group with 2-1)
Edit: I'm not saying that Sase can't become a top 3 protoss. He plays a lot and could improve faster than the other protoss players.

hmmm, sounded like he's set on another team already... and he usually sticks around some other tots. So that's fnatic with Sen, EG with iNcontrol, cloud left behind in mym, and then haypro, ret in liquid.. so liquid doesn't seem so far fetched i think Hehe

I bet he wants ToT back, with him being exclusively manager this time .

I bet he'd have guys flocking to his banner in seconds if he did recreate ToT, they would join the proud tradition of ToT players who doesn't practice but still tears the scene up :D

It takes $$$ to attend tournaments, and if the support wasn't there for it then its not mondragons fault. I also believe he was attending classes as well which made training for sc2 problematic at one point for him...not sure if that is true today or not.

The old ToT Homepage seems to have changed, at least you can't see anything when you are not logged in. Some weeks ago you could still see the news...
A Return of ToT would be so awesome...
