If she's good, this is fantastic news, bringing us closer to an environment where people get opportunities based on skill, not gender. If she is mediocre or bad, people are going to blame her gender, and it's going to hurt the scene's gender equality.

Not the savior we need after such a bad start to the season. ![]() I suppose it's cool in a way, if she doesn't make it in GSTL and all, she can at least take some wins at MLG and other events. PS. I hope that's 22 Korean age. Still kinda old though for a progaming career start. You ran into DRG in game 1, and didn't use MMA in game 2. I know he's slumping a little.. but not to use him when he's the team's best player seems odd. I think She's going to play a few games this season, it's good they're recruited her, but I don't get why another Terran, SlayerS need a really strong Zerg, Min is good but he showed today he gets out of his depth easy. Unless of course she's the hidden gem that the GTSL is known to uncover. Then by all means, make an all Terran lineup lol.

If she's not pro-level then it's just disappointing that people think we'd rather have a girl play badly than another guy play well. eSports should be equal opportunities, absolutely, but for a number of reasons males will dominate and artificially offsetting that by picking up female players who simply aren't as good as their male counterparts seems. . .childish, maybe? Hopefully it's not just the equivalent of the foreigners getting a free pass into Code A a few seasons back. Merit should be the only thing that advances you in life. Best of luck to SlayerS and Eve, though. I'd love to see her win a game, or at least play well.

Slayers now has a ton of Terran players, but this must mean she can be pretty good then, all of the Terrans even, got a question? Just ask one of your fellow Terran teammates, or ask all of them. We need a new Zerg heavy team. Maybe when the xpac rolls around there will be something like that.

also, as I already posted in this tread, women ARE at a disadvantage in Esports, as they lack the stamina required for a Bo5 or Bo7 (as said by the "women of BW" in a TL article)

I think it's highly unlikely that this girl is going to just prove to be amazing already. Chances are she has some potential, but is going to need a lot of work. And if there's one thing SlayerS does, it's Terran. She has probably the strongest Terran lineup of any team to help her raise up the level of her play, so it's lucky in that sense. At any rate, this is interesting. I just hope it doesn't prove to be a publicity stunt.
