As you may know, TeamLiquid has its own GHOSTCLAW and shindigs present at the event. They were able to get us a brief interviews with the finalists after the event. Here they are.
Out of the Korean players, you have the most experience with tournament overseas. If you had to compare NASL with other foreign tournaments, how would you compare them? First of all, I think out of the foreign tournaments, I think American tournaments have better responses from the fans and are better about providing room and board. So I preferred events like NASL or MLG. In terms of scale, I think there isn't too much of a difference between Dreamhack or MLG or NASL or other tournaments. I think it's a tournament that will have a lot of improvements in the future.
Your interviews in English left a deep impression on the fans. Do you do this as fanservice towards your foreign fans? While fan service is fan service, I think I picked up English quickly so I could get by when I go overseas. And because I live with Jinro and Huk at TeamLiquid, I think I'll be able to improve my English in the future also.
You revealed in your Interview in the GSL that you wouldn’t be going to any more overseas tournaments for some time. When should we expect you back? I want to practice in Korea. I feel like I've fallen behind. I think you may be able to see me again in about two months time.
Your games against Sen left a deep impression. We’re curious how you approached the series as you entered the game, and if there were any memorable moments during that series. Because I haven't lost to Sen before, I approached the game thinking it'd be easy. But as I played I felt that Sen has really improved. The most memorable moment during the game was when I destroyed Sen's expansion in the last game with Dark Templars. I was really happy then.
Please say something to your many fans in TeamLiquid I visit the fanclub there often. They post a lot of funny pictures. And I'm thankful because their reactions are always so positive. I actually made a TeamLiquid account recently, so I'll make sure to visit often so I can communicate with my fans.
(Special Thanks to SeleCT for making this interview happen)
What did you think of the series? Were you nervous? I was really nervous, and I was even more nervous for the final match. I think I've had two of the most chilling and trembling games I've had in my life at this tournament.
Would you be encouraged to come back to foreign tournaments? Of course. I'll work really hard just so I can come back to feel this kind of passionate atmosphere again.
Are you excited to back to Korea and play now that you have beaten oGsMC? Because I beat MC, I think I will be able to play against other Protosses without being intimidated. Without intimidation, but with confidence.
Please say something to your fans in TeamLiquid I think this was the opportunity I had to get myself known to the foreign community. If you keep watching me and cheering for me, I will return to you with better results in Korea and in foreign tournaments.
Everyone thank GHOSTCLAW, shindigs, and SeleCT for making this interview possible!

Thanks for the interviews Milkis. PuMa definitely seemed nervous in interviews and before the game but he clearly has the steel nerves of a champion. That's also interesting that MC made a TL account. Hello MC!
oooo what is MC's account name?!!
i bet after people read this there will 50 new accounts claiming they are mc
:/

Thanks for the great interviews guys MC Fighting!

MC interviews are always fun, especially as I feel he matured a bit recently. He was very mannered at NASL finals, thumbs up etc, hugging PuMa ^^
I want to practice in Korea. I feel like I've fallen behind.
Thought that might happen, he's been overseas so often he's losing his grip on the Korean scene.
Aww, no MC for 2 months At least he will use TL now
Love how mc interviews and I really enjoyed watching their games!

Well he has slightly matured, but he hugged puma as its his friend of 8 years, like he hugged huk when he beat mc at homestory. But it was great to see the respect given via him to sen, he rly did deserve it.
I think it's great that MC strives to be the best and recognises that solid practice will get him there. That type of dedication to the game is absolutely admirable. Wish he didn't have to play Huk tomorrow .
MC on TL is a fare trade for him to not come overseas for 2 months. he will work hard and become even better than b4. oGsMC FIGHTING!!!

Good interviews, nice to see MC taking a interest

It makes me so happy that the Koreans want to go oversea for the fan reaction and atmosphere. Go SC2 fans!
Nice interviews and great to hear that MC made an effort to create a TL account to communicate with his fans. It is even better that seeing his fan club thread made him want to create one. Sucks that he is facing HuK though.
Good decision MC, give some other Koreans a chance to steal foreign riches
American fans are best fans. We may not have the best players and maybe we never will but it's great to know that our love for the game can still be recognized and that we can give back to these players by providing an exciting environment.
I wish MC good luck in his practice, protoss need their president, there seem to be so few others who are pushing the protoss metagame forward.
It always warms my heart when I hear that Koreans want to go overseas because are fans are so passionate ^^. I hope to see more from Puma in the future, he played really well!
Oh wow you got these up quick! I also recorded videos too so I'll be sure to caption them when I put them up! MC is srsly so receptive and awesome to his foreign fans, and Puma was adorable because his new found championship fame really had a visible impact on him.
Nice interviews guys. Well done!
MC thinks he has fallen behind? I think the loss against Puma really got to him. I'm really curious what his name on TL is, hopes he posts soon

Even though the series were close, there were a good amount of games where MC just lost straight up to what I saw were just vastly superior control and sense (not to say MC is bad, but Puma was playing exceedingly well). It was a shame that MC lost but I do feel that the better player really did win in this case.
MC's games with Sen were also much closer. If the series was a Bo7 Sen had a very legitimate chance to come out on top. MC almost dropped it all and the look on his face shows it. The day before he basically boasted (in traditional MC manner) that his PvZ was unstoppable, and then he finds himself struggling against the new overlord baneling drop style.

Whatever works but deep down he's chill and respectful. Oh and MC and PuMa are very old friends... grew up together and went to school together.

I agree with this. Seeing at MLG and the NASL, the way the players responded to the fans would totally make them feel loved. Even if you don't get the greatest results, their reactions are always great and someone like MC knows how to gel with the crowd so perfectly

I'm really glad for him he got the opportunity to shine in a foreign tournament. Plus pickup a serious $ price along the way.
I'm really looking forward to MC's game with Huk. I honestly do not know who to cheer for! I hope you guys show some great games!
Love the interviews! The manners of the Koreans, the clear dedication of MC, the nerves of Puma, and how gratifying they find the foreign audiences are all very heartwarming. Amazing players and amazing games. Great interviews!

Great players with great attitudes, more then gg!

not taking anything away from Puma, he's a beasty player with gsl champion potential and his baller " u have penix? i drop u anyway" multi pronged attack were so nice to watch.
Though in the Big Fights it all came down to the emps. This is not a balance whine but Blizzard should srsly reconsider to make ghost cost 150/150 or reduce emp radius or reduce emp cast range. Because now Terrans seem tor ealize that EMP basically >>>all Protoss units

woooooooah! MC on TL reading posts in his fanclub! Now I'm impressed.

haha awesome stuff, they seem really kind
<3 MC loves America the most
Definitely can't help but to respect both of these players. Congrats to Puma for winning though. I hope MC becomes even better and assuming how hard he works, i don't think I need to say he needs to work harder, just hope he gets off this plateau or whatever he is on and gets on a level higher than anyone else again.
Thanks for the great interviews <3
Awesome interview! Keep it up! =)
Kinda sad we will be seeing less of MC but also looking forward to seeing a new and improved MC!
How can you be nervous to play MC when you beat nalra at a startleague qualifier on tv?!?
Puma is a sick sick player .D Can't wait to see more from him!
Nice interview btw!
MC just keeps giving me reasons to root for him. It's so rad that he's learning english and that he really seems to care about the foreign fans.

Puma his interview after the finals was pretty epic. It could be because I was still high on adrenaline after the epic series. Got to love him. 50k$ on skinproducts!

i think TL should put some icon or colour to koreans progamers accounts. it would be easy to see when they comments or response
nasl is 1+ to foreign community!

Yay MC made an account. Great news.
Its interesting that they both agree on how the fan reactions are a major point for them in the foreign tournaments. Oh MC has fallen behind? Lets see how strong he comes back after a two month hiatus! gogo puma!

MC's name on TL is ogsmc0617

I've said it before and I'll say it again.
MC is the kind of Korean player I really want to see continue to compete in foreign tournaments, he is deeply invested in the game and in the foreign fans, he makes such an effort to communicate with the foreign community and regardless of the fact that he could just pop over, take our money and go back without uttering a word, he puts in the extra effort into learning English to better interact with the English speaking fans.

aw man sweet interview! westerners are more vocal supporters lol, got that right
Thanks for interviews guys, really good. Really like Puma and how humble he is.
Thanks for the interviews- thanks for the translation (this includes you select ). I like Puma and all, but... *looks down at signature*
I'm glad the Koreans are so honored and happy about their foreign fans, at the same time, I wish Puma was asked more questions.
MC and PUMA are the baawwws now lol PUMA is like flash and MC is like BiSu
I wasn't the biggest fan of oGsMC before this, but after seeing him at NASL I'm a fan. But I'm still mad that he knocked SeleCT and Boxer out!!!!
Cant wait for mc to start posting on TL like a baws.
oh MC please speak up,what's your account in TL ?

Check his fan club. He posted there, someone quoted it recently.

Always love hear from MC because he is so boss. Glad that Puma won though and got his name out there.
Really nice, Puma really showed he's class at the finals.
Best finals of any tournament I've seen!
Short but sweet I love these guys. Hi MC. I hope you loose to huk tonight sorry! This was definitely pumas break into the foreign scene.
I think MC will play even better after he sticks in Korea for a while, as there's no way he can practice as much or as well as he would like to when he is flying all over the globe like he has been recently.
I'm glad Sen finally had a huge showing in a major tournament, since the guy is a such a boss and it hasn't been terribly obvious until now.
Also I think Puma is going to be a serious threat in GSTL and GSL if he keeps at it doggedly; guy controls his bio extremely well and had some of the most money EMPs I've seen with 50 grand on the line. Though I play protoss (and so this made me flinch and cry on the inside), it was very impressive to see him always have his ghosts in the right spot, nail the templar and archons so many times, and just engage with good positioning the vast majority of the time.
Thanks for the great interviews. I really really love how the korean pros come here, and are deeply moved and impressed by the passion/energy/support they get from fans. awesome stuff.
MC interview was awesome, many thanks!
good job cant wait for next season!

such a small interview qqqq wanted to hear more about PuMa!
nooooooooooooooo! me want Sen interview
MC puts on such a great show! One thing to really admire about him in this interview is he's desire to improve and actually tie up the loose ends... I'm really happy he's going to sit down and concentrate on the GSL and all and hopefully push through to become the first three time Champion... although NesTea will probably give it a run too this season!
I really admire MC for his comments, it is just a testament to his focus as a player first and his desire to stay on top of the mountain

Great interview. Really like the way these champions carry themselves. I think Huk's time w/ MC has really made the difference. Unfortunately, all the travel and foreign tournaments may have dropped MC's focus a little, but he's still top 10 easy.
Hate to see MC and Huk meet in Round of 16 today, but either way, should be epic!
PUMA really impressed me at this tournament. He's really humble. MC is still as dominant as ever though, man he's sharking around the finals of every tournament he joins it seems
Thanks for the interviews! Sad that the Puma one couldn't be a little longer I'd really like to hear more from that guy.
cool interview, thnx.. mc is still a boss, man.. I'll say it time and time again.
XD
Haha MC needs to start posting and streaming on TL :D
someone tell MC to stream here
Saw the infamous GHOSTCLAW and his Sen-loving friend Shindigs doing this interview. Such style and class, really.
I'm talking about MC, not those two.
Thanks for the awesome interviews!
but..
I don't see What the reason for another interview with PuMa and MC was. I think Lindsey "Spore Crawler" Sporrer and the other girl did an excellent job interviewing the gamers. trollface.jpg

MC fighting! such a nice character and entertaining protoss play!
Omgosh where is mc?? I can't wait for his gosu posts~
Always love watching MC play and interact with fans, keep it up!
Thanks for the interviews. Two great players for sure!
MC can be manner sometimes
PuMa so sick! Glad they enjoyed the atmosphere of the NASL, as usual it was great.
Always great to hear from them.
So great to have Koreans play in these tournaments, the extra level of skill is what foreigners need in order to move beyond our current state.

Of course this is kind of nice, but if you know MC from the very beginning of his SC2 career you know that he has always been communicative with his fans, so this is rather a logic consequence then being "awesome". At least this is not what interviews is making awesome.

Um because unlike many other sc2 players MC goes in depth in his interviews, answers them fully and it gives color to his personality. You also learn alot about MC's life and his thoughts. Its like a story...lo

Dunno, it's pretty standard in Korea I guess but I don't see why it's such a big deal other than the fact that you are sick of reading that.
