still, should be awesome though. naniwa, thorzain, DRG and many more, man, code A is a legit rival to code S now.

And it's nearly impossible to lose your seeded spot because of the giant advantage that pool play confers. It's even harder to lose your seed now because a majority of the Koreans who do well wont come back even if they get seeded. They will earn most of the points at each MLG, so the foreign standings will change much more slowly. Also, as more and more Koreans enter the open bracket, it becomes more difficult for any non koreans to make it to the championship bracket

Code A is becoming really stacked with naniwa and thorzain, jinro, and probably a lot of slayers players with puma. Omg

DRG is obviously good enough/popular enough to be in code A/S but instead of having him in the competition for rain's vacant spot(which ryung has taken) they're going to fly him to MLG and assume he'll be good enough to get a worthwhile spot which would then land him in code A/S. still, should be awesome though. naniwa, thorzain, DRG and many more, man, code A is a legit rival to code S now. I think the Code A spots only go to non-koreans. Code S for first goes to Korean or foreigner.

It's so difficult to knock down the players who got seeded for the first MLG. Once you're placed into the top 16, it's impossible to finish worse than 32nd even if you lose every game you play. Then consider that not everyone who finishes top 32 is going to come back for the next MLG, and you could easily go 0-5 in group play, win 1 series in the championship bracket, and end up being ranked high enough to make top 16 after removing the players who aren't comming back. Think the tournament needs a different format.

On the other hand, NesTea/MC/HuK vs DRG sounds like a great match-up. For the next MLG, they should definitely send PuMa.

Think the tournament needs a different format. I think some kind of roll-out system would be good, i.e. only points from, let's say, the last 4 MLGs count. That way you still have the kind of security progamers would like (as was discussed on sotg) but you also have sufficient change in the scene to let new blood in.

I hope us foreigners can put up a good fight and really make it interesting. A foreigner winning it with like 5 koreans in 2-6 positions would really be crazy to see. Can't wait for Anaheim <3

Actually, its impossible for the pool players to finish worse than 28th now, and they couldn't finish worse than 24th before Columbus when the pools were expanded. So yeah, its pretty hard to lose your spot.

I mean, I really really really want a foreigner to take it on our home-turf but DRG and MVP? Uhhh, I am a bit sad to be honest.

Foreigners need as much money stolen from them as possible until they sack up and take SC2 more seriously.
