I think this will be a good move for his progaming career. He was a great caster but I wish him best of luck in the future!

I .. as many others .. cant say, if this decision is right or wrong - but what i can say is: that with the loss of Inc as a caster for the nasl, nasl just lost the one caster i could stand listening to and enjoy the whole stuff

Is iNcontroL going to try and qualify for NASL 2? I mean... I'v e always looked up to him as a progamer more than anything, I think the NASL would be enriched by his stellar play! I mean seriously if he could almost break even, in one of the hardest groups, while being hampered by NASL casting and SOTG imagine what he could do if he just spammed practice with iDrA all day :DDDDDD

This decision really makes sense if Geoff wants to completely focus on being a player. There just aren't enough hours in the day to focus on casting and playing professionally

Excellent! I love me some iNcontrol, but I would love to see him dig into some serious training, and win himself a tournament.

I really enjoyed iNcontroL's casting and he'll be missed from the NASL - but I'm glad to see him focusing on playing and working to become an even better progamer. Wishing you huge success man!

does anyone else miss the days of super human iNcontrol? When he played, Streamed, Cast NASL, Hosted SOTG, flew all around the country doing stuff with Kingston and Intel.

hmmmmm i wonder why he stopped doing that? Maybe he ran out of magic.

You forgot the part where it say..."And then the Koreans came into the foreigner touraments and dominated them" This made alot of foreigners realise that they need more dedication to the game to step it up to the Korean's lvl of play.

I love Geoff as a caster... And in turn, that makes me root for him as a player... I can only imagine how hard it is to be successful as a player when you devote so much time to making so many other great things happen... I know I will definitely miss him on the NASL casts, but I really look forward to an improved iNcontroL playing Starcraft 2... I think when he's playing consistently, it's phenomenally good for not only Geoff, but also for all the members of his team... And if this opens up a casting spot for MrBitter, then I'm pretty happy... I thought his casting was very good in spot duty for the NASL...

This is definitely a good move for InControl I think. I know he's said before that with his insanely hectic schedule he has no time to really practice his play, so hopefully now he'll be able to post even better results. I'm gonna miss his casting though, I hope they do bring him back for those guest commentaries.

I think it's a good decision on Incontrol's part. If he wants to be a good Starcraft player and make a good name for himself then he needs to focus specifically on his play. He is a good caster but I honestly would like to see him getting better results in tournaments than see him on the NASL cast. To be a good player, playing Starcraft requires alot of time and dedication to specifically playing and watching reps with a purpose of learning (not for entertainment purposes like he does in the NASL) I'm glad to see that he now realizes that he can't be both a great commentator and player at the same time. It's either one or the other. Now I expect to see him producing some better results now that he isn't taking on so much at one time.

Actually glad to hear it, want to see iNcontroL as top pro rather than a semi-pro player/caster. Hopefully he wont have to censor himself as much now that he doesn't represent NASL.

Edit: Though most of all i want to see him back on SOTG even though the chances seem slim.

Personally I'm not terribly surprised. Casting I feel takes away from your actual playing ability since you spend more time analyzing and less time actually playing the game thereby letting your mechanics get rusty.

Best of luck to him with practicing full time.

Terrible decision on his partin, in my opinion. He is a much, much better caster than he is a player. If he left EG to become a full time caster it would be a much better situation for both parties involved.

That being said, if this is what he wants then so be it. But if I were him I would much rather spend time with my hot girlfriend while casting, much more relaxed and profitable probably.

Bullshit, incontroll takes games off players who have alot better mechanics just because his decision making scouting and getting the right unit comp is excesively good. He just misses some mechanics which he can improve on when he practises more.

Incontrol has not produced any noteworthy results as a player, "taking games off" successful players does not constitute success in my book. His most important accomplishment is getting 4th at MLG, which is mediocre at best. I hope he proves me wrong and becomes the best player in the NA scene, but he is very, very far from the top at the moment.

He is a very popular and entertaining caster NOW and he could capitalize on that if he wanted to, that is why I think this is not the optimal choice for him now given these facts.

But again, if this is what makes him happy then he should do it even if here were the worst player ever (which he clearly is not).

I saw this coming. I'm excited for iNcontroL to step up his game, and for an EG team renaissance.

GL Incontrol. I see some people really want Mr. Bitter to be brought in... but I prefer someone else (I don't like listening to zerg analysis in games with no zergs)

Shame to see him leave, but once a gamer gets a certain amount of passion for a game nothing can satisfy him except competitive gaming.
