I just wish that his return to progaming will also mean he switch back to Zerg. He is a Zerg at heart, and it would be great news if he announce his return, and I think this is possible. Him and Idra as EG's power zergs.

I think its a great decision for him as a player.

While he was getting a lot of experience and exposure as an esports caster/spokesperson, If he wants to continue playing on a high level as a Player for the immediate future, I don't think he can maintain all of his responsibilities he has. NASL, SoTG, I feel like he is freeing up a lot of valuable time and will be improving a lot if he uses the time for practice.

I was actually a fan of Incontrols casting, him and gretorp made an interesting and funny combo. Glad to see he will be focusing more on his gaming aspect to his career though, becuase I can see him making great strides in the right environment

Well done Geoff. As good as you are a caster, i think you owe it to yourself to perform as well as you can at the game.

Well done sir!

i like gretorp and most of the co-casters, but it was incontrol that made nasl watchable.

i doubt it will be worth tuning in for 10 hours a week now... oh well.

I seldom post, but have lurked here for almost eight years.

I just wanted to say that I am saddened by this news on top of his departure from SotG.

I have typically sided with his views on the growth of SC2 and eSports in general and I am bummed that he is stepping away from another pedestal with which to promote professionalism in both word and example. I have often felt like he is one of the few "adults" around and will miss having someone as a frequent spokesman for views like mine.

But, I'd certainly not begrudge him the option of doing what he feels is best for him and hope that this move, along with others he appears to be making help him reach whatever goals he is setting for himself.

Damnit! This is (selfishly) terrible news.

I thought inControl and Gretorp didn't gel for about the first week of NASL, I found myself cringing a little bit.

But then they relaxed to each other's style and it became really enjoyable. I particularly like inControl's deadpan method of telling a joke or making an observation on the game at hand.

I prefer inControl to any other caster NASL has had on so far, so gonna be sad times for me.

I am gonna miss him on NASL. He did his job well. Hopefully this frees time up for him to join SotG again. Would love to see him joking around there again .

Terrible decision on his partin, in my opinion. He is a much, much better caster than he is a player. If he left EG to become a full time caster it would be a much better situation for both parties involved.

That being said, if this is what he wants then so be it. But if I were him I would much rather spend time with my hot girlfriend while casting, much more relaxed and profitable probably.

It's a bit awkward for someone who was the NASL's biggest advocates to leave when he had developed into a pretty decent caster. I dunno how well NASL will handle this.

But on the other hand it's nice to see inc acknowledging his time commitments are detrimental to his playing and push towards becoming a better player.

This is great news, imo! Because I want to see incontrol performing better in tournaments, and if he frees up alot of his time for practicing with this, then all the better .

I assume he believes the reason he isn't that great of a player is because he's doing all this stuff on the side.
I really wonder what the dick will happen to the NASL now though, or if there will be a NASL left in a year.

In his interview @ MLG he mentioned he was doing NASL from 9-5, coaching, something else (forget) and that left, if he wanted to stay up all night, an hour or two for practice. He is first and foremost a player so this completely makes sense .

When ever I would watch the NASL I would hope that it was inContol casting. Best caster really. great personality. A lot more fun to watch then some of these other guys... the sad thing is IMO the 2nd best is Idra who is also on EG haha.

As said before, mixed feelings. He's awesome at casting, but at the same time i want to see him do well as a competitor.

Bullshit, incontroll takes games off players who have alot better mechanics just because his decision making scouting and getting the right unit comp is excesively good. He just misses some mechanics which he can improve on when he practises more.
