This makes me pretty happy. I was wondering how he did it all :p Anyway, he's a much better player than a caster (imo) and he hasn't had a chance to post any great results yet.

I think this is an excellent decision for you as a player, after a 3-0 start in NASL you began to falter, obviously this was due to the lack of practice because of your work schedule, it will be interesting to see how high you can go in season 2 with your complete focus on practice! Seems like Geoff didn't want to put up withsuch a big time commitment and stress commitment since everyone keeps mistaking him as the head of EVERYTHING HAVING TO DO WITH THE NASLLLLLLL. You can tell he has an extreme commitment to being the best player that he can be, moreso than being the best commentator or best podcast personality. He wants to win. Period.

nice. leaving SOTG and NASL are both bad, but at the same time im really glad that my favourtie player will be practicing more, moving into EG house (?didnt know they had one? will he just live with idra and machine?) and going to more tournaments

Good for Geoff if thats what he wants to do, but I'm really sad to hear he's left SotG, and I feel like caster quality is the only thing for the NASL that has been steadily dropping rather than improving as they replace iNcontroL and have Gretorp sitting out some. :-(

I kind of saw this actually. Geoff's passions is incredible. from every state of the game, inside the game, and every other show... i could see the desire for him not only to complete but to win. The dude has mad fire inside him and i wish him nothing but the best because he's one of the players that help build this community to what is.

Good luck geoff, wish you all the best man. You helped make the NASL so awesome and you'll leave your mark for sure. Im going to give you the biggest fucking high five at MLG anaheim

His decision make sense--I think people forget how dominant he was back in the BW days (circa TSL 2) because he's been casting so much SC2. He evidently still has a lot of confidence in himself as a player.

It'll be interesting to see how other caster-players continue their careers *COUGH* DAY[9] *COUGH*

My thoughts exactly about u.s tournaments, and it's preposterous to state facts as whether iNcontroL isn't as good as nani or thor before he switches over to playing full time. I used to watch his stream and he have great mechanics, and with his experience "the starcraft strategy think" comes naturally for him. If he put his mind to it I don't have a doubt he will start taking home medals.

I think iNcontrol is the most complete human being on this planet! To be completely honest, and not to knock anything from NASL, but the only reason I watched the NASL was to hear iNcontrol cast and make jokes. You shouldn't be casting Geoff, you should be a stand up comedian because you're hilarious! To sum up how awesome you are:

pros:

- Good player
- Good caster
- Very funny
- Best SOTG member.
- Verbally pwn Idra on multiple accounts and levels
- Have a lovely gf
- Hold title for best rant ever

cons:
-listens to death metal

It's sad to see you go iNcontrol, but hopefully you can come back and demolish some MCs and nesteas and what not! Best of luck to you in the future!!!

This was here before :D He always goes back to caster chair after some time.. But definetely bad feelings coming out of this. He was like everything i expected from nasl and good voice to listen to etc...

Bit of a surprise, but I understand where he's coming from. He's a competitor first, not a commentator. To be the best competitor he can be, he had to give up commentating - for now.

well didnt expect that but I suppose he got the show and tourney up and running , so has left it with a high reputation!!

Be great to see him playing fully again as he has deffiantly been slumping compared to his early promise.
