This wasn't what happened and you could get that information by reading the first few pages of the thread. Don't spread misinformation. I read the first few pages, i changed it after i saw destiny's response. And as it says in my post, it was what i *thought* probably happened. A guy signs contract without reading, finds out contractual obligations are not going to mesh with his stances on things, and breaks contract without saying anything. I had no way of knowing he was pressured into signing, or that he thought he would be fucking over all of root if he didn't. As I said, He is a good guy and has a fun stream, I hope he finds a team that won't make him change.

Half a day really isn't enough time to go through a contract like that.

Basically there'd been talks of ROOT/Complexity merging for a while, to relieve stress from catz/drewbie, which is cool, it gives them more time to play, etc... One day, I got a message pretty much saying "hey, that contract is due tonight, you gotta sign it today". I pretty much had half a day to decide whether or not to sign, and it seemed like if I didn't sign, the deal would fall through for the rest of the team. I didn't want to mess up everyone's opportunities to move on with their career just because I felt uncomfortable, and there was nothing -too- objectionable in the contract, so I signed it. In the following days, I had more time to think about it, and the more I turned it over in my head, the more problems I found with the arrangement, and the more reasons I found not to be associated with a major business SC2 team, at least not at this moment in time. I talked a long time to Catz, and had a few words with Jason, and eventually settled on the conclusion that I wouldn't actually be joining. Add to the OP please. I'd love to ask whether or not you knew you were going to get removed before this post (meaning your reaction on your stream was a troll) but I wouldn't expect an honest answer either way. Well, of course, I kind of said I wasn't joining... Fair enough. Good luck finding a new team.

As team management, they should do a little more research into players they plan on signing. I don't know how much communication there was between Destiny and CoL, and what the expectations were, but from this news, it's pretty clear there wasn't sufficient communication between both parties.

Which one is it? The first bit really doesn't make sense to me, since if he didn't want to be part of coL, he wouldn't have signed in the first place. I read his response, which was basically "I didn't read the contract because I didn't have enough time," and while that's probably true, then the first part of the coL statement is essentially contradictory. Did he choose to leave because he finally re-read his contract and didn't like it, or did they part ways since they didn't like his behavior?

Is this just a legal thing where he has to be released because he did sign the contract?

Say what you will about iNcontroL and his strong opinions I've never gotten the impression that he wouldn't admit a mistake if he made one. Its one of the reasons I hold him in high regard. I honestly believe he hopes for the best for Destiny (and most decent people in general). I'd like to believe that most of the Pros actually care for each other as fellow competitors and support each other through good and bad times.
