Usually I am happy and this will give the Root players more opportunity, but I always viewed them as the underdogs financially. Y'know? They made their way into the scene with hard work and just pure determination. Skill was involved, but they honed and worked on that skill on their own and that's what made me proud of them. It was like watching a boy learn the simple values of life that hard work and the desire to succeed will get you far.

I don't like this end of the road, this last step of the ladder for the Root name.

Anyone remember when Catz was telling Destiny to not sign with Complexity if he got a contract? It was on reddit a few days ago, I wonder what that was about.

Rumors... Well there was an incident about him talking too Nazgul, but if you really want to know what this is about you have to watch SotG ( 2 Episodes ago). Tyler himself summed it up/cleared up the whole situation pretty nicely.

Same for me, loved ROOT as a brand, was looking forward to picking up a ROOT shirt if it became available, I often dropped by their website. If it were a full acquisition, I'd still be a little sad, but with it being a split acquisition I'm really disappointed.

I'm still looking forward and hoping to see good things from Complexity... But it's ridiculous that the best team in North America just disappeared overnight.

Interestingly enough, the players who didn't sign (Kiwi/Slush/Fayth) are the most financially stable and likely don't need the increase in salary that comes with joining a brand name organization. Coincidence?

Big pick up for Complexity. This will be a juicy roster. However, I find some irony.

I remember when people thought that ROOT was getting hen pecked for their players just a few months ago. Now they have this merger. Strange.

Great news for the Root guys and complexity for the pickup, hopefully with more backing the root guys can concentrate better on their gaming careers, im sure Kiwi and slush got other offers, Dignitas.Kiwikaki maybe? (saw a lot of picture of kiwikaki hanging out with the Dignitas guys at MLG)

I think the wording was something like

"dont sign col contract if you got it"

and then Destiny spammed to get rid of it because he was on screen.

Hey guys, thanks for all of the posts - it's a very sad day that we announce the end of ROOT but exciting for what's happening in the future. We were finally in a situation where we had to assess where we were going with our "grassroots" movement and in the end decided this was the best for our players. Sadly, we tried very hard to keep the whole team together, but it wasn't able to happen - you will find out where KiWi and Slush are going soon - best of luck to them!

BTW, Destiny is missing a Radio interview this morning apparently due to issues dealing with this merger.
