It's sad to read the OP because it goes to show that no matter how amazing an initiative is to further nurture the growth of e-sports around the globe, the community, or at least a part of it, just has to shit on it.

Best of luck to FXO in the GSTL and in the Code A qualifiers, make sure to get lots of content!

Props to FXO for trying this when the prize pool for the GSTL isn't huge and their players have to go through the tough Code A qualifiers. A stark contrast with Fnatic management who, despite having great players, have been too busy complaining about how GSL hasn't been paying attention to the foreigners even though that is clearly not the case.

For the people who think that there should be some sort of a foreigner all-star team, I personally would hate that idea as that is just going to increase the unnecessary enmity from the foreign community toward Koreans and I am tired of "I'm always rooting against this guy unless he's playing a Korean, in which case, he's my hero" kind of attitude around here. I like that Jinro and Huk have decided to stick with oGs even if their chances of playing for them may not be very high and I hope to see them feature in the next GSTL as I think both of them at their best are good enough to do so even for a big team like oGs.

In any case, best of luck to the FXO guys. I hope you have a good time over there and improve like Jinro did last year.

we really got some negative TL posters around here... someone is gonna pay for foreigners to go to Korea and we gotta start complaining that it isn't their favorites!

Anyways, gl to FXO in Korea... it's gonna be tough, especially since they are using the all kill format but you gotta start somewhere....

Lol i really don;t understand why people are complaining that they are going to lose.

It's like if your country got represented in the Fifa World Cup. Who the fuck cares how they do they're on the main stage with the best of the best.

(I'd like it if Canada made it to the World Cup FULLY knowing that they'd get their asses handed to them BUT...this is the only way that one progresses)

It's as though everyone wants to send in the 'best' foreigner team. I'm sorry to say but, no foreigner team is going to have a good chance.

FXO fighting! Go qxc and Sheth! This is awesome, awesome news that will make GSTL (and possibly the GSL) that much more worth watching. We're all rooting for you guys (even if we are disguising it under the guise of whining about the process)!

Super cool of FXO to get this together. It's a shame Sheth won't be competing for Code A though, one of my favorite Zergs, and my favorite FXO player

Awesome to hear! I read the OP and was really excited...and then I started reading some of the replies on the first few pages. I just had to stop. Why the hell are so many people bringing such negative attitudes to news such as this? Then again, most threads seem to be negative now-a-days. I felt the need to post my congratulations to FXO on this one.

It'd be nice if they were matched up against ZeNEX the first round because that's the team they're most likely to beat.

Congrats to FXO!
I'm not sure how they will par with the Korean teams but I'm certain they will put on quite a show and hopefully encourage other foreign teams to compete in GSTL as well.

And I don't get why so many people are being so negative about this either. This is great news for GSL as they are allowing foreign teams to compete for once.

Very cool. Its gonna make GSTL more interesting for the foreign viewers and bring much exposure to the FXO team. Wishing FXO players all the best. Rest assured I'll be tuning.

You should be ashamed of yourself TeamLiquid forum whingers. Great news for the GSTL can't wait, 11 teams(So far), twice a week, a whole team of foreigners! man can't wait. The longer they stay in Korea the better they will get.

Even ACE, in Broodwar, was a joke when they first started, never beat anyone...but you know what they are a pretty decent team now so anything can happen. Pity Sheth cant go to the qualifiers i feel he is their ace player.

Half the posts seem to be people whining about other people whining. (If you ignore it... it goes away..)

Anyway Awesome for FXO wish them best of luck <3

I think this is the best thing ever happened to the starcraft2 community after day[9].Huge props to the FXO manager trusting his players and investing so much in something that will not give him benefits soon.I hope FXO do great in the GSTL and play their hearts out and after 1-2 season to establish a good base for other foreigners to come in Korea and play vs the best in the world.

Such an awesome initiative from FXO! I'm so excited to see it. Unfortunate mOOnGLaDe might not attend, he seems to be the most valuable for FXO considering that he has already played in Korea in past events and has some insight into the scene. Also pretty shattered Sheth wont be involved in Code A, I think he is the best chance of performing in the GSTL and hopefully he can make it decently far in Code A.
Ultimately pretty sweet announcement
