I get the feeling that lots and lots of people have a really skewed view of success with this venture. For me, just the fact that they're going and participating is success, noone else is willing to do it and playing the best is how you become the best.

This is almost exactly how I feel. QXC and Sheth are decent players, but if I were a gambling man FXO would not be my first, second, third... or even eighth place bet. I would absolutely love to be proven wrong though, FXO fighting =)

what is more significant is that an entire foreign team is being sent by their sponsor to compete in the GSTL and Korea

if they do well or even average, it will be huge. if they do poorly, I don't think it says that much.

people are well aware that FXO isn't a top tier foreigner team, although they have one hell of a sponsor.

I really respect FXO and all their players for choosing to go to korea and play with the best. It shows amazing will power and I think they will gain a huge advantage over the rest of the foreign scene if they adapt a korean like practice regiment

I think you misunderstand. Im sure any team would have the option to go but tthey either dont have the money to go or the willpower /means to uproot their whole team. Considering no other team right now is in a position to do this, you should be happy to see any foreigner team competing in the gstl.
