Good to see JF there. He has played over 1k games last ladder season and has over 400 games this season so don't worry, he's in decent shape.
There was once a dream that was Esports. You could only whisper it. Anything more than a whisper and it would vanish... Now is the time to make that dream a reality!

Oh god, I wish it was more than 12 advancing from the open bracket. It'd be great to start seeing more people from teams like vVv, VT, and ONE competing in the championship brackets.

It's a shame that the MLG format really benefits certain big american e-sports personalities over far greater skilled european and korean players who have to battle for only 4 spots in the open bracket. Here is to hoping that the bad players in the groups get kicked out before the national championships, because out of the current 20 in the group stages, only about 10-12 of them would be in the top 20 players going to this MLG.

Actually 12 players advance from the open bracket. (It used to be 16 before the format change to accommodate the Koreans into pool play.) Its just that the top 4 of those 12 go into the groups, while the next 8 go straight into the loser's bracket.

Overall though, I do agree with the sentiment that it is too hard to lose a spot in the top 16.

No HuK?!?! T-T I hope Naniwa wins this again, but ThorZain is in the open bracket... O.O I can't wait!!
With an average game length of 7m36s over his 6 games in GSL3, this is a no-brainer. BitByBit pulls more SCVs than yo momma at a club on Mar Sara. ♞

I think Bomber has to be a favourite going into this. If he does lose, I think it's most likely gonna be to some unconventional Protoss style which catches him offguard, so perhaps Kiwi or Naniwa stand the best chance. I really don't see him losing to any Terrans or Zergs though...
