Makes you wonder if Idra's decision to leave his Code S status was really the best one. I still think he's easily at their level and would've done well. He probably would've made more money just remaining in Code S. I mean tourneys like IPL, NASL,etc are all online so he could do that from Korea. I suppose if he didn't want to deal with any latency issues...

So, if they foreigners who get Code-S seeds don't get knocked out of Code-S will they just start to pile up there? Seeing as there will potentially be a new MLG seeded Code-S player from each event they could just start forcing the Koreans out.

This is good news for the whole of the starcraft community to help globalise it, however i think its a bit harsh on the EU players. If Dallas is anything to go by MLG will not be the highest standard foreign tournament as only really Nani, Sjow and Socke who are considered top dogs in EU showed up. Ofcourse if the player pool from foreigners is vastly improved i will take back what i just said. Lets hope the likes of Kas, Strelok, Dimaga, Hasuobs, Demuslim, Cloud, White-ra and Bratok attend.

Assuming they are good enough. The skill requirements for Code A/Code S are increasing every season. A foreigner who doesn't really have a team to practice with or people to talk SC with isn't really going to get very far purely soloing.

GSL is giving three Code A spots. Also, the winner of MLG has the possibility of winning a Code S spot starting after Columbus. I think it's a good trade off. GSL is paying for the accomodations for a whole month, while MLG is only paying for a weekend stay.

Maybe koreans feel the same about GSL, take a more objective view.
