it's probably going to be someone like Ace or Moon who don't have code A, will be interesting to see if they rip apart MLG the same way they did with IEM

Not to derail the thread any but how long as Select been in the U.S.? Was he playing enough SC2/BW in Korea to really be counted as a Korean in the SC sense? Because if he started playing in the US I don't think it's quite the same thing.

He's a Korean playing in the foreigner/NA scene. It's as simple as that.

-------------------------------
I don't mind if it's not the absolute best like MVP or Nestea or MC, will be interesting anyway. I don't mind seeing other players get the chance at getting exposure as opposed to MC being flied around to every single tournament.

This will be nice.

How many of those will make it through the grueling open bracket, I wonder? Just another storyline added on top for MLG. Good move on their part. :D

I wonder about the 16 seeded players. Dallas was a fresh start, right? With some players (like Socke) not going, who's next in line to take his spot? Can't wait to see the seeds and brackets.

Hah, nice. But yeah, as a lot of people have said already, the chances of any of the top Code S players going are probably very slim unless the stars align and their schedules work out perfectly. That being said, I'm sure quite a few Koreans are interested in the easy money.

I know Moonan and Select are Korean, but I didn't know about Slog. :o

Thought he was a North American with Korean roots like Kawaiirice and dde.

edit: TLPD and Liquipedia say he's US, but they've been wrong before and are possibly fed from the same source. I'd update the Liquipedia at least when there's official confirmation for this.

Doesn't really answer my question...I know he's Korean, what I was asking is if he actually played SC in Korea.

Does this mean that Tastosis + koreans will form their own team in the MLG Columbus relays??

Was there ever any doubt? I thought it was pretty much confirmed for awhile. =/

Having said that though, I can't wait to see who decides to take the trip. If a few top tier Koreans come over one of them will take first place for sure. ^^

This doesnt make any sense, the cost to benefit ratio is astronomical, not to mention the slanted tournament set up of MLG which will place these players into the open bracket.

If 4 people are coming, they are probably spending more money on travel, hotel and food than there is total prize being given away by MLG, it just doesnt make sense.
