I feel like someone said on SotG or something that at least 2 koreans were going to MLG? I dunnu maybe its just in my imagination, I've been studying all day -_-

Sundance confirmed 4 koreans and tastosis.

Is there a link that goes with this statement?

Because that would be AMAZING.

This just makes mlg's seeding system even worse.

You know what I'm talking about

if it costs so much to send a player from korea to the US, i dont think it would be profitable, unless mlg increases their prize pool a lil more - cuz i honestly dont see a good reason to send multiple players from a team, it may make sense to send the best player from a team since they ahve good chance to win the top prize and make a profit so to speak

Wow that's awesome. Helps improve the prestige of MLG tournaments even more, and we now get to see some foreign vs korean games whose validity isn't undermined by latency issues.

Agreed. Foreigners vs Koreans where lag isn't an issue are few and far between. We need more information on this subject to have some evidence to say whos better atm.

I hope someone tells them not to drink all the free Dr Pepper. People at their first MLG tend to overload on free soda then have a sugar crash while they play lol.

Was really hoping that some of the strong strong foreigners could just walk over the competition at Columbus. but with many other tip top competitors coming from Korea might bring some really good competition. Will be nice to see a more US based clash of styles at Columbus, as it seems most foreigners who go to Korea fall into dominant Korean styles. Time to see how the Koreans fare against the US players and styles without the latency cop out (although i'm sure it's every bit as detrimental and it's said to be)

I think it's gonna be either Code B players like IEM or those eliminated from the Super Tournament, since top players wouldn't gamble on jet lag and less practice time before any Super Tournament match. Players could be out of the tournament with just 2 matches, so no one would risk flying back and forth.

We should all remember that Maka, Genius, Boxer, Fruitdealer, TLO, and Loner were at Blizzcon in the middle of GSL Open 2. I'm sure there's scheduling they can work out if any of them are indeed going to be super tournament participants.

Having koreans playing on equal footing (LAN) will be really interesting. In a lot of the cross-server games it looks like they're really struggling to deal with the latency/time difference.

MLG definitely needs to up the prize pool or else the international players aren't likely to keep going to their events. The sooner, the better.

Not to derail the thread any but how long as Select been in the U.S.? Was he playing enough SC2/BW in Korea to really be counted as a Korean in the SC sense? Because if he started playing in the US I don't think it's quite the same thing.

Im going to Cross my fingers that Zenio or MVP goes to MLG and gets matched up against IdrA.
