I cant belive Stateofthegame aka Djwheat is putting up with Idra he is bashing and hating on every from cruncher to huk to mc to TB.

Idra is an ambassador for the sc2 Esport scene what an embarrasment.

It's a talk show. The panel members on the talk show are going to give their opinions on whatever question arises. It is okay for IdrA to give his opinion.

Yes, and he's usually rude every time to people who asks questions or gives opinions.

A quick scroll down to his history of tweets would justify my claim.

Not saying the claim isn't justified i'm saying that's the appeal.

Going by how many people like TB and watch his vids i'd say it's working out pretty well for him.

I think quite a lot of people watch him for the amusement of him not understanding the game, missing drops etc..

He's not a top-skilled player and has never claimed to be as far as I know.

He plays for the enjoyment, ad revenue for future shoutcrafts and to encourage more people to ladder formally known as 'ladder fright'

But to try and mix it up with the big names in the game is making himself too big for his own boots

Q: @Totalbiscuit ok i might get thees wrong but isnt it d-apollo and day9 there is casting?
A: @aule10 Yes, they are the main casters, I am Stream 2, there are 5 streams

How very rude!

I'm not even bothering with - what you call - opinions...

20k people tuned in on Sunday to look for missed drops .... REALLY??

u make it sound like 20k viewers tuned in only because TB was casting or something and the quality of players had nothing to do with it.

those were pretty good 8 players and it wouldnt surprise me if people turned in even if they disliked TB's casting. some people could have just muted it.

Sunday was a fantastic day for esports and I'm glad I was a part of it.

It was a small Sc2 tournament with a handful of European players, how is that a fantastic day for E-Sports? It's not even a fantastic day for Starcraft 2, nevermind the millions of e-sports fans who couldn't give a damn about Starcraft.

He gather 1500 by people watching him, also he had 4k viewers on his stream during MLG! He gave it all back to the community and the players... I have never seen any commentator doing that before.. ever in any sport. And for someone then to call him an awful commentator when people turn to his stream with nothing to back it up is just stupid. Or i guess smart since we are talking abut it.

Because it proved that a small tournament with just a small cash prize, 1500 is nothing comparing to GSL or any other sport, can have a 15+ viewer count.

And 450k people watched MLG. Clearly the number of people who want to see top players commentated by people who understand the game is much higher than people who want to see good players commentated by Total Biscuit applying radio commentary to something you can see with your eyes.

It didn't prove that at all, everyone knew that for a while. For a comparison he had about the same vieiwers as Idra does on his low quality stream with him saying nothing.

that day, nothing was proven. this was known by many for a long time. if we were to draw a comparison, he was pulling similar numbers to a mute, fuzzy idra.

I don't particularly like Idra as a character within the SC community but he is one of the best Brood War and Sc2 foreigners of all time and a mainstay of the community for years, to compare him to a guy like Total Biscuit is just mind blowing.

Did you just compare a three day, biggest SC2 live event in North America, with players from all over the world, $14.000 prize money and best caster lineup in the world, to a one-day €1.000 eight players euro-only invitational, just to say that Totalbiscuit is bad?

I hope I am missing the sarcasm here (in that case I apologize). 20.000 viewers for such a small tournament is an amazing feat, and I did not think that TB would have that big of a following.

He doesn't have that big a following. Total Biscuit streaming his own games is like 2k people. Those 20k are fans of Thorzain, Morrow, White Ra, Nerchio, Kas etc...

idra's personality is not my cup of tea, but he's a proven himself as one of the best foreigners in BW and SC2. he's been a major part of the community for a long time, too. nothing about TB is worth comparing to idra.

TB's following isn't exactly impressive. 2k people? come on. the people watching the streams are fan of the players, like morrow, thor, whitera, nerch, kas, and so forth - not TB

Mr Idra fanboy you are delusional he is not one of the best sc2 foreigners he is howver one of the most hyped sc2 foreigners. Why do you keep spawning crap when you got no actually facts to back it up?

What has Idra won recently beside an IGN season one with alot of medicore NA.

Watch Dreamhack, I woulnt be supriced if Idra cant make it out of his group.

But enough of Idra´s skilllevel thats not the argument. And I dont compare Idra to total biscuit one is a player and one is a caster and atleast the player could give some compliments to the casters that have showcased them to the world. TB,husky,HD etc. Becuase without those casters and many others Idra would be playing in his mom´s basement. He should feel very privileged he is in this position he is today and atleats he could give some courtesy to the members of the community that has made sc2 esport what it is today

I will take TB over Idra any day of the week. TB provides new fans to this sport all Idra does is promote BM.

I know that is hard to understand for the Idra cult and his minions
